Laser eye surgery in Health ·
Oops, you might want to take a quick look at the thread above—laser eye surgery could actually be a game changer here.
Laser eye surgery in Health ·
Hey, Matthew Lee11! I haven't personally gone through that myself, but a close friend of mine went to a private clinic recently and she was absolutely thrilled with the results. If you want, I can shoot you a DM with the address and what they charge

Honestly, just grab some marshmallow root tea—the kind you find in those little boxes at Whole Foods or even just the local grocery store. You’ve gotta brew it properly by steeping it with a spoon and then straining it out. It really helps thin out all that nasty congestion in your chest, so coughing stuff up becomes way easier. My whole family swears by it whenever we're feeling under the weather!
Speech Therapist Recommendations? in Health ·
Oh, Gustavo2, listen to me—as both a daughter and a mother myself, I would be absolutely thrilled to have a father and grandfather who cares that much about his grandkids! Honestly, I wouldn’t see all that concern as some kind of personal attack on me or the kids, and I really don't think your daughter should view it that way either. Having a family that actually gives a damn is such a beautiful thing!
Regarding those speech delays... well, you know how it goes. Some boys just take their sweet time finding their words, even while they're busy being little athletes or incredibly coordinated with their hands. It's often said that girls tend to hit those milestones a bit earlier across the board. But seriously, please don't compare them! Every single child is their own unique little universe, developing on their own timeline.
If your grandson is enrolled in preschool, those teachers really ought to be the ones flagging any speech issues if they're actually noticeable. Most daycare centers have a speech pathologist on call or a contact you can reach out to just to chat about what's going on with the little guy. You could always reach out to Suzana Jelčić over at the Mayo Clinic.

In Cleveland, they offer these really intensive 15-day speech therapy programs with Professor darak Novosel, which sounds pretty great. And as for Suvag, they are absolutely top-notch regardless of how old the patient is. A close family friend of ours, who's 56, actually goes there for rehab after having a stroke, and they've been wonderful. Sending you my best!
Looking for a specialist... in Health ·
So, when you’re looking to switch doctors, the first thing you've gotta do is—well, you have to ask the new one if they’ll actually take you on as a patient first!

Then, they issue this official confirmation that you basically hand over to your old doctor, and only *then* does the old doc finally release all your medical records.

Once you've got those papers in hand, you lug them over to the new clinic. Honestly, it would be so much better if

they could just handle everything via mail or some digital system, but hey, that's just how the bureaucracy works for now.
Best way to swallow pills? in Health ·
Just mix the pill right into a spoonful of yogurt and swallow it down—honestly, one of my friends swears that’s the only way it actually works for her. Or, if you're feeling really motivated, just crush it into a fine powder and go get it done!
Gastric balloon experience: Any thoughts? in Health ·
Oh honey, Benjamin Sanchez51, you can't stay invisible anymore now that you've started dropping those pounds! Just soak it all up—go buy yourself some sexy lingerie or something! Honestly, you’ve gotta love it when people start showering you with compliments; it totally fuels me. I used to be built like an elephant, but now I’m rocking a size 14 up top and a 16 on the bottom, and let me tell you, the world is my oyster! I HAVE TO GIVE CREDIT to the crew over at Vinogradski; they were such a huge help. With the gastric sleeve, I dropped 27 pounds in just 6 months and I am over the moon—mostly because my "exercise routine" consisted of nothing but moving between the stove, the bed, and the bathroom while using a cane. All in all, I’ve lost about 84 pounds in a year and a half. I had hip surgery too, so right now I’m zooming around on a cane, but hopefully soon I won't even need that.
You know what? Don't go hiding away on some deserted island. Walk through the city with your head held high and be proud of yourself! Don't let the haters get to you. Doing it this way is how you actually change your relationship with food. I still have to stop myself mid-meal and ask, "Are you actually hungry, or are your eyes just hungry?" Because let me tell you, my eyes are HUGE. And yeah, I eat to calm down sometimes, but instead of grabbing junk, I just gnaw on a raw carrot like a little bunny and suddenly I feel better—it's like... autosuggestion is everything! Only my inner circle knew about the sleeve. My girls at work? NOPE. When I showed up with my new figure, they were absolutely floored. Actually, it kind of shocked me how the people I wasn't even that close with were the most sincere about it, while my usual buddies were just stunned—you could see it in their eyes, like I was suddenly a threat or something. I don't even know why, because I haven't changed as a person, I just... deflated! So, we just keep pushing forward, you and me and all the other ladies out there. Cheers to carrots, celery, and leeks!
