I can see why this thread is getting all muddled up...

Some people seem to be arguing about what "right" even means—like, if you see an actor in a certain role, they immediately just associate them with some hero they played once upon a time

while others are debating which actor actually captures the essence of the character most accurately—you know, who truly embodies the soul of the hero rather than just playing the part...

(c wut i did thar)

That's a pretty weak comparison...😁
I'd say twenty, minimum.🙂
If you think anyone actually looks like Robert Downey Jr., they’re probably no older than fifteen...🤷

There's absolutely nobody on the other side... we're just hitting the ball against a wall, "talking" to a brick wall

Honestly, that’s probably the strongest argument I've heard all day... 🙂

It’s pretty simple, really—if you want to attract high-quality posters, you actually need to provide a high-quality forum...

+1 ... that’s all there is to it
just some kind of tennis legend... and I suppose that would be it...
we should have been looking into opening additional threads much earlier... though, honestly, this is probably the best way to start—to make sure we don't absolutely wreck the forum by rushing into a mountain of pointless, cluttering topics too quickly

Who even makes the calls here? Who’s actually moderating the other sports... I mean, is anyone on the admin side even reading this... some kind of actual response from the other side would be nice 🤷

Look, I already mentioned seeing that thread after Wimbledon... you're really splitting hairs with me here...
Anyway, there's absolutely no reason not to open one... I could understand if no other sport had its own sub-forum, but when we have Formula 1 and Borilacki, then tennis definitely deserves its own space.

Which topics actually disappeared?
Just the old ATP threads, some older Grand Slam ones, and a few niche topics 🤷
And why did those niche topics vanish? Simply because they weren't interesting enough to sustain a real conversation.
I highly doubt that tennis—even if it had its own separate sub-forum—would see more than a 10% increase in posts compared to how it is now.

People shouldn't be discouraged just because a thread drops off the front page... within a few hours, a mountain of other sports news will push it down...
I only noticed Wimbledon and thought that was it... then I saw the ATP stuff...
If all things tennis were lumped together, there would be more debate and more posts...
And every beginning is difficult... it won't hit a million posts immediately... eventually, people will realize there's a specific sub-forum, new users will arrive and see there's a dedicated space for tennis and everything related to it, and they'll log in specifically for that sub-forum... throw in another success from one of our players and it'll be a boom 😁 ... it's like when Formula 1 first launched... nobody knew if it would work or how many posts it would get... it's the same here... but you have to try, there's certainly no rush

Regarding those recent numbers...

You really can't compare them... it’s an apples-to-oranges situation—completely ungrateful work... tennis topics get scattered all over the place and lost amidst everything else, whereas F1 fans basically have their own dedicated subforum where everything stays grouped together... when I first showed up, the only thing I could find was the Wimbledon thread because everything else just sinks so fast while people are busy commenting on basketball and stuff... if F1 didn't have its own subforum, IMO there would be way fewer posts... once the tennis subforum launches, it’s going to be a total boom... especially when the neighbors see what's happening and decide to 😁

I AM IN FULL AGREEMENT !!! Honestly, a dedicated sub-forum like this is long overdue for this corner of the internet... I'm genuinely glad I decided to kick things off and start this conversation—it’s great to see everyone else jumping in to help get this new space up and running 🙂

Judging by your avatar, I’m guessing you’re one of those people who leans heavily into recycling similar—yet somehow subtly different—cinematic tropes... ☕ So, how exactly was he looking at you, uncle?...
