My only real issue is that whenever I get an outbreak of cold sores (herpes simplex), my salivary gland swells up so much it feels like I’ve got a damn orange stuck in my face... My doctor has never actually recommended surgery to remove it, even though the pain is absolutely brutal when it happens. It gets so bad I can barely move my neck, and honestly, I’d rather just have it cut out and be done with it once and for all.
