No, no, that’s not what I meant. I was referring to the very start of Q1—everyone made the call to head out on full wets, except for Williams Racing.
Williams Racing played it incredibly smart today, being the only team to opt for intermediates right at the start of qualifying. And now, look at George Russell pulling off an absolutely massive lap 🙏

Jason Campbell70 already laid it all out. If the FIA can't extract a single liter of fuel from the car after the race, you're looking at a disqualification.
Mercedes is planning to file an appeal, as they're claiming there's still about 1.74 liters left somewhere in the car.

What actually happened at the end there? Why didn't his unknown engineer suggest he pit earlier if they were seeing those fuel consumption issues? Honestly, I think the FIA is being incredibly shortsighted here; everyone ended up underfueled because of those rainy conditions right at the start.

So, Valtteri Bottas is facing a five-place grid penalty in Belgium. Honestly, this feels like the perfect opening for Toto Wolff to pull off some kind of grandmaster 5-D chess move. Imagine if he slots George Russell into the Mercedes seat for this one, lets Bottas burn through that penalty while driving for Williams Racing, and suddenly we’ve got Christian Horner and Red Bull Racing completely thrown off their game. 🤣 🤣 🤣

I’m rewatching that incredible duel between Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton, and man, it was a masterclass. Fernando knew exactly how to handle his former teammate. He was closing off the gaps just perfectly—forcing Lewis Hamilton to lift off the throttle and forcing him to dive into the corner early just to avoid that classic Lewis Hamilton inside-to-outside overtake maneuver. It was absolutely elite defensive driving, holding that line for ten straight laps. What makes it even more impressive is the fact that Carlos Sainz wouldn't have stood a chance at lasting that long.
