Take the Jehovah's Witnesses, for instance. They interpret things differently, suggesting that Jesus wasn't actually crucified on a cross, but rather died on a stake. They even argue that wearing a cross as jewelry isn't really appropriate because, in their view, you'd essentially be carrying around a symbol of a murder weapon around your neck.
If the whole point was for Jesus to undergo a martyr's death through divine will to atone for human sin, then there's a logical disconnect somewhere in that reasoning.
I’d love to hear from my fellow Christians on this one:
If we accept the idea that Jesus had to be crucified and die on the cross because it was ultimately God's will, then why would God use His power to tear the temple veil apart as a sign of His fury following the death of His Son?
It feels like a contradiction. If Jesus was destined to be crucified—essentially stepping into the line of fire to absorb God's wrath—then the Sanhedrin wasn't really the "villain" behind his death. In that light, they were just another link in the chain of events required to fulfill the prophecy.
Thanks for getting back to me.
I should probably mention that I actually had a procedure to close off a superficial vein in my right leg about ten years ago. Even so, these veins have started popping up in all sorts of other spots, including my left leg, so whenever I’m stuck sitting at my desk for long stretches at work, my legs tend to swell up. Because of that, my doctor ended up putting me in compression stockings.
Yeah, I mean, he didn't say anything about it affecting my heart rate at all.

Is anyone else going through something similar to this?

But then, about a month back, I started noticing this weird, fleeting little ache on my left side right near my collarbone. My doctor actually listened to my heart with a stethoscope and told me everything sounded perfectly fine, so he isn't worried about it.
To be honest, though, it feels like all the blood pressure is being pushed up toward my upper body, almost like my heart is working under this extra layer of tension.
Has anyone else ever dealt with something like this?
