Nickel allergy help!

So, a few months back, I started noticing that my foundation and concealer were totally acting up on me—like, every single time I tried to dab anything around my eyes, I’d end up with this nasty allergic reaction. Now, it’s even gotten to the point where my mascara is triggering it too, so I finally went in to get some allergy testing done, and turns out, I tested positive for nickel. My doctor was telling me that they don't really use it in cosmetics anymore, but then I go online and read a bunch of stuff that says otherwise. I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else here has dealt with weird makeup allergies like this?
