Is it just me, or does it feel like we’re never actually getting a break from the sport anymore? I was looking at some upcoming schedules recently, and the sheer amount of travel and constant "preparation" phases is getting a bit ridiculous. It used to be that you had a clear off-season where players could actually reset, but now it feels like as soon as one massive global tournament wraps up, they’re immediately being shipped off to some other corner of the world for exhibitions or training camps.
I worry about the physical toll, honestly. We see these athletes being pushed through these grueling, staggered returns, and it makes me wonder if we're just prioritizing commercial tours and broadcast windows over the actual health of the players. It feels like the "off-season" has become just another pre-season for something else.
Do you think we're reaching a breaking point where the schedule is actually going to start degrading the quality of the games we watch?
