I’ve been looking at my monthly budget lately, and it feels like we’re just stuck in this weird limbo. It feels like every time we get a tiny bit of breathing room, something else shifts and keeps us pinned to the same spot.

I was talking to a buddy of mine who’s trying to get a new car, and the frustration in his voice was palpable. He’s been waiting for things to "settle down" for months, but it feels like the goalposts just keep moving. It’s hard to make any long-term life decisions—whether it's buying a place or even just scaling up a small business—when the fundamental cost of moving money stays so stubbornly high.

It feels like we're just hovering in this holding pattern where nobody is quite happy, but nobody is quite making a move either. Does anyone else feel like we're just idling in neutral while the rest of the world moves on?
