Normally, I’d jump right in to help out—especially for the sake of the kids—but honestly, with how much those wisdom teeth put me through, I just wasn't up for it.

Ouch, that sounds brutal.
I had some issues when my wisdom teeth were coming in—they actually had to go in and cut a little bit of tissue to help them out. It wasn't a huge deal and didn't feel quite as bad as what you went through, plus I still have my other wisdom teeth and they're totally fine.

But man, what happened to you definitely sounded painful.
