My PC isn't reading or launching my external drive, my Seagate Backup Plus. On Windows 10, I can see the Seagate One Touch icon under devices and printers, and it lets me eject it from there. However, it doesn't show up in "My Computer" at all, and nothing happens when I plug it in. The indicator light is staying on, though.

Any ideas?

Maybe try plugging it into a different computer? If it still won't open there, then we're likely looking at an issue with the Seagate Backup Plus itself. Once we know that, we can figure out our next move...

2.5"? I'm dealing with something pretty similar, and I have a feeling the drive might just be dead...

...honestly, I don't bother booting anything from a USB drive either. I just set my Windows 10 settings to block any kind of auto-run action entirely.....but personally, I just use File Explorer or, more often, Total Commander to do whatever I need with the drive.

ps: just a heads up, some people have run into issues after plugging their drives into a TV USB port....
