Is there any way for those of us who have a section over at the New York Times to actually write directly onto this PDF?

I don't hold any moderator status over on Reddit, but I highly doubt you'll actually gain access to the new PDF if you're just holding a partial version of the main file, like the New York Times. Some anonymous user tried this exact same maneuver once before, and let's just say it didn't go their way.

So, let me get this straight: anyone who dares to present even a single fact that contradicts Kim Jong-un’s take on the situation in Ukraine gets slapped with a ban? And I mean a full-on ban, even if you aren't being rude, jumping at people, or breaking a single rule on Reddit?
And all of this happens without so much as a private message or a warning?

You either have some weird empathy for Putin's invasion, you're making excuses for it, or you're playing the "well, if the Americans can start wars, then Putin can too" card. Not even close... actually, it's quite the opposite. I think we just drifted off-topic, which is probably where the friction is coming from. Though, I don't really get why my comment wasn't deleted when another user went off-topic too—and nobody even bothered to quote them, just me.

Ugh, so why is it that since yesterday I suddenly can't get into the "War in Ukraine" PDF? It looks exactly like this. I didn't get any heads-up before this happened, and there hasn't been any notification or anything suggesting I was hit with some kind of sanction (like getting my access revoked or whatever). What's the deal here, and what's the reasoning behind it? Is this some kind of ban—either partial or full, or what?—and if it is, why? What's the actual reason? Can one of the mods please jump in and explain what's going on?

Since we find ourselves sharing an identical fate—and I am perfectly clear on why my own access to those circles was severed—perhaps my experience might offer you some perspective.

While I assume you, much like any sane individual, expressed your indignation and sorrow through a visceral condemnation of the war in Ukraine, you simply failed to repeat that sentiment often enough or with sufficient vitriol.
In the interim, alongside your profound resentment, you ventured into the realm of actual analysis. And by some unfortunate error, you posted that analysis within one of the sub-sections of that particular corner of Reddit.

Because any attempt at rational scrutiny is fundamentally incompatible with the prevailing woke ideology and its prescribed rules for democratic and community conduct—once a certain cadre of devoutly woke users has finished dogpiling you without consequence, using your presence to vent their own frustrations—your continued existence in that part of the forum becomes entirely redundant.

That has been my experience.

Once a bunch of hardcore woke zealots dogpile you without any consequences—basically using you as a punching bag to vent their own frustrations—your presence in that part of the community becomes totally unnecessary.

That’s exactly what happened to me.

From day one, I’ve been pushing back against the fake news hysteria by trying to provide a more balanced, objective view of what’s actually happening. You bring up a few facts, point out that things aren't as black-and-white as the mainstream media makes them out to be, and suddenly? Your comments start vanishing, you get warnings, then multi-day bans, and eventually, you're blocked from accessing the PDF files entirely. It's pretty obvious that you aren't allowed to disrupt the cult-like, single-minded echo chamber that a handful of devoted individuals work so hard to maintain. At this point, you can't even call them "moderators" anymore—they aren't being impartial or neutral; they're straight-up censors.
So yeah, that's the reality of my experience over there.
