Privacy settings issues

Is there any way to limit my privacy settings on Instagram or Gmail to something like 6 or 24 hours?
Basically, I don't want notifications popping up whenever an email hits my inbox... I’d rather just manually check Gmail for new messages when I feel like it.
Same goes for Instagram and my DMs.

If you're on iOS, you'll just need to head into the settings for each individual app and toggle those notifications off manually; if you ever decide you want them back, you'll have to go back in and flip the switch again.

It works like this: Settings -> Apps -> Instagram -> settings -> notifications -> disable

Once you do that, those apps will stay quiet and won't bother you with any alerts until you decide to turn them back on.

I actually went ahead and permanently muted Instagram, YouTube, Amazon, and a few others a while ago using this exact method because I honestly couldn't stand the constant distractions.
