About a month ago, a certain user was banned from all the heavy-hitting threads—stuff like child support, domestic issues, divorce proceedings, etc. She pulled it off by leveraging her circle of friends, both online and in her actual life, to get the moderator to issue a permanent ban on those topics
after four long years
And I was never disrespectful. I didn't swear, and I certainly wasn't trolling. Yet, because the moderators lean so heavily into certain feminist biases, they declared me guilty without cause, acting solely on the intervention of "friends"

The reason she did this? She simply didn't like my comment regarding her announcement about her own divorce... she treats this forum like a private messaging tool for communicating with her family, husband, and kids
She actually kicked her current husband out using the exact same tactic. It seems the moderator's vow to her friends takes precedence over truth or reality
and???

Just as I predicted, now that I'm blocked from offering advice on these tragic, serious matters, I’ve watched as any meaningful discussion or useful exchange of ideas simply withers away,,,

Come on, rustydrifter10, take a look at your posting and reading stats for Zuck since I've been gone...
Between the day before yesterday and yesterday morning, there have been three pointless posts... some ridiculous thread about pornography

And that's it
Not even mentioning the view counts

So what is the point of this forum if it's just going to shut down these topics???
Not to mention the legal and life-alteringly bad advice that same group has been giving on serious questions about alimony after they forced me out
🐔
And please, don't insult my intelligence by replying with something like "trolling" or "offensive content"

Privatizing the forum is clearly leading to its downfall, especially on such vital topics that could be incredibly helpful to people facing difficult life situations
And why?
rustydrifter10
Because her virtual and real-life friend was afraid that my reactions to her posts wouldn't sit well with her family members, whom she’s been addressing through this forum for years... so she had to protect herself...

Finding a new phone or using a different computer isn't an issue, especially since I have access to several throughout the day... I just wish you would realize that this style of moderation leads to the death of serious discourse on a forum...
By turning this place into an echo chamber for like-minded people, it loses its purpose, doesn't it?
Respectfully submitted

Look, it’s not about some random "friend" of yours—I have zero clue who you’re even talking about here. This isn't about her; it is strictly about your combative, vindictive, and downright misogynistic attitude that we've had to put up with for years. We have warned you more times than I can count, and yet here we are again. You are absolutely not the reason why Zuck is active right now; if anything, you're just stirring the pot and inciting pointless arguments with those chauvinistic comments, and frankly, we’ve had enough of that nonsense. As for those posts filled with nothing but bitterness and hatred toward women, you’ll need to find somewhere else to post them, because we simply aren't going to tolerate that kind of behavior on this forum anymore.

Honestly, I’m still completely lost on who this "friend" is supposed to be, whose husband we're talking about, or even who the husband is in all of this... and frankly, I couldn't care less about this kind of baseless rambling. The PDF, along with its dedicated sub-forum for unraveling family issues, has been open to anyone who wants to talk through domestic struggles from any perspective for a long time now. Since I stepped in as a moderator back in January 2011, we haven't had a single moderator who believed that men or fathers are somehow less valuable, or that they should face discrimination just because of their gender, or that they're inherently worse parents simply because they aren't mothers. And if you're asking me, we aren't going to have a moderator like that either. We have always believed—and continue to believe—that the child's best interests must come first, and that both parents should have the opportunity to be present and provide quality parenting if they are willing and able. Not once has a moderator here belittled one gender over another, treated anyone as inferior, or spread intolerance of any kind. We fully intend to uphold that tradition, and we expect our forum members to do the same. Unfortunately, it seems you weren't able to meet that standard, or maybe you just didn't want to. We don't really care about the "why"—what matters to us is ensuring we don't leave you space to spread that kind of negativity moving forward. And as for the lies and fabrications? I have no intention of giving those any airtime here, either.
