I'm hardly a scientist if my work hasn't even been reviewed yet. A paper can't exactly pass peer review if nobody has even looked at it.

Besides, even before I finished writing, Alexander Thompson gave me his "word" that my research wouldn't end up published in any journal


What kind of authority does this person think they have to make guarantees like that without ever seeing the manuscript? Isn't that a blatant conflict of interest?

I actually cast my vote for Alexander Thompson just because I've got a bit of a grudge against science.

As for Silvio, the man is a scientist through and through. He actually managed to fuse legitimate science—think Calculus 1—with pure pseudoscience like astrology to produce an actual research paper. Is that really why you hold such a grudge against him?

I’m totally with silverwolf88 on this one. From what I can gather, Alexander Thompson just seems like one of those small-minded, bureaucratic types who ends up stifling scientific progress and innovation right here in America.
Sand, if you were over in Ireland, people would practically carry you on their shoulders for your work calculating the mass of celestial bodies—especially with how much everyone is obsessing over Oumuamua lately 🙂.
And honestly, nobody would give a damn whether you ran your formulas through LaTeX or scribbled them down in your gym shorts. ☕

I put together an excerpt here ,
and look—if this guy were a legitimate mathematician or physicist, he’d be tearing that calculation apart with actual math. Instead, all I see from him is claims that he "doesn't waste time on nonsense," without ever providing a single mathematical proof to show why it's nonsense .
So, what are we looking at here? A serious scientist or just some scientific charlatan?

My plan is to submit this to the American journals of applied mathematics and physics that have actually gotten back to me before. However, I need the paper translated into English first—so I've been hunting for an affordable translator. Once that's done, I'll credit them in the references and then I can finally send the work off for peer review.
