I recovered from COVID-19 about four months ago. I’m getting completely conflicting advice from my doctors; one recommends getting vaccinated immediately, another suggests waiting six months, and a third seems totally unsure. I decided to take matters into my own hands and went to get my antibody levels tested.
My result came back at 170.6 U/ml.
Does anyone here know if this is actually a strong result? Should I go ahead with the vaccine now, or would it be wiser to wait those six months?

I don't think there’s any actual consensus yet on exactly how many antibodies you need to effectively fight this thing off—scientists are still scratching their heads over that one. But look, even if you get the shot, you end up with a much broader defense against the virus and its mutations compared to people who haven't been vaccinated. There's also this whole hypothesis floating around that if you've already had the virus, you might only need a single dose to get that necessary 'boost.' So, do your own digging... just Google 😁

Just grab the Johnson & Johnson shot; you only need one dose, and two weeks later you'll have an express COVID-19 certificate that stays valid for nine months.

Does anyone actually know if that’s a good number or what? Should I just get vaccinated now or hang tight for another six months?

If you just need a COVID certificate to stay cleared, you're probably fine for nine months from when you recovered.

If you're genuinely worried about getting sick, though... well, you're in your 30s, right? Statistically, you're more likely to get taken out by a car accident in a major US city than die from COVID-19. In the States, we've seen way more people in their 30s die in traffic wrecks than from COVID over the last year and a half.

Plus, if your symptoms were pretty mild the first time around, there's a decent chance that if you catch it again, it'll be even lighter.

My COVID-19 recovery certificate is valid for six months, which means I'm covered until October 20th. While I don't strictly need it, I'd rather have it just in case... even though my symptoms were mild, they certainly weren't pleasant.
Anyway, I'll be getting vaccinated in the coming weeks.
