Personally, I’d much rather stay home an extra year than deal with the constant headache of taking sick leave for my kid—especially since there's a limit on how many paid days you get per year. Or having to shell out cash for a sitter every time a daycare closes due to some local quarantine. At that point, it costs me just as much as if I had taken a full year of unpaid maternity leave.
To make sure he isn't missing out on socializing, we started going to this local parenting center where moms hang out with their babies. There was this 8-month-old girl in the group who's already crawling so fast she's basically walking from one thing to the next. Well, she crawled right over to Bobby, grabbing at his sleeve and his socks... her mom pulled her back pretty quickly just to be safe... and the little thing just lost it and started wailing. Bobby just stared at her for a second, watching her throw this tantrum, and then he started crying too.🤣
I can see the sparks flying already.😍
