uuuuu puppy..laying on the bed in the bedroom, showing off to guests in some pink silky outfit, pigtails like Dorothy from Omaha, sized like an actual one-year-old baby.. eyes blue just like yours.. when she's lying down they're closed, then you sit her up and they pop open.. that used to drive me absolutely crazy.. if you tried to force her to close her eyes while holding her, the whole thing would just descend into chaos.. expensive dolls, but they were all the rage back then.. sailors would bring them in from overseas by special order.. and on TV, you had those lace covers, not on the program itself but draped over the set, always with one corner hanging off the edge so you couldn't see the news anchor's forehead, and on top of the lace, a Venetian gondola about a yard long.. black with gold trim and a massive oar.. with a red or yellow light on the stern that you could plug in so it glowed while you watched the news.. and then there was that plastic film over the screen that looked like a colorful X-ray, except the three primary colors would bleed all over it so everyone thought it was high-tech because the picture wasn't black and white but purple hahaha
