Maria Wright62 said:I think we’re totally misreading each other here, because I’m definitely not trying to kick anyone out... if anything, I was thinking of creating a little dedicated corner in the lounge, maybe something like a chat log or just a place for daily poetic musings and subtle little messages to the queen and all that... 🍿

honestly, there's no point... let the challenge stay alive... it actually gets pretty interesting once people start dissecting everything and leaving comments... personally, I'm feeling chill... I don't really have the energy to deal with mindless nonsense every single day... every couple of days is plenty...😁

Once a week is a bit sparse for kidney memoirs. 😍

Megan Gray4 said:A sweet little honeybee tale inspired by Game of Thrones

Without bees, we’d be in big trouble trying to eat fruit because these tiny insects are responsible for pollinating most crops. We wouldn't even have honey if it weren't for hardworking worker bees that have been making it for about 150 million years. An average bee produces roughly 1/12 of a teaspoon of honey in its lifetime, and during a single summer, one bee will visit anywhere from 50 to 100 flowers. :
In a kingdom called the basket, a worker bee starts life as a fertilized egg from her highness, the Queen Mother. Workers don't have developed reproductive organs since they aren't fed properly, but inside their tiny sesame-seed-sized brains, they have amazing learning and memory skills. It works like this:
Aged 1 to 2 days: They spend their time cleaning up the palace, starting with the room where they were born. :metl
Aged 3 to 5 days: They feed the older princesses.
Aged 6 to 11 days: They feed the younger princesses.
Aged 12 to 17 days: They make wax, build honey pots, carry food, and handle funeral duties. :Po
Aged 18 to 21 days: They guard the entrance to the basket, protecting it from intruders. :zma
Aged 22 days until death (about 40–45 days total): They collect nectar, pollen, and water, and handle pollination...
Every single bee in the colony has a unique scent so everyone can recognize them, and they communicate through a royal "honey dance" that's famous throughout the entire basket kingdom. ;rock
It's worth noting that drones come from unfertilized eggs. These guys don't work and don't even have stingers; their only job is to woo the Queen Mother. :romo: The peak of their flirting is fertilizing the Queen, and then their lives are basically over right after that moment of glory.
Things get intense at the throne when an old Queen dies or when the kingdom gets too crowded and it's time to go out and start new colonies. Interestingly, the Queen Mother then lays fertilized eggs in twenty wax "royal" cradles. Young bees feed the princesses a super rich, creamy food, while the Mother Queen stays on a diet because soon—once the first princess grows enough and puts on her little wax dress—the Mother leaves the kingdom along with her court ladies, her entourage, and a scouting party already prepping a new hexagonal empire. The entrance for the Queen is quite slim, so she has to really work on her figure to squeeze out of the old palace and into the new one. The princess in the wax dress leaves her cradle and has to play a brutal game of thrones. If she wants to be Queen, she faces a choice: either kill off the other princesses still in their cradles, or take a small swarm of followers and head out to start a new colony. If she chooses to leave, the next princess has to make that same choice... and it keeps going until someone decides to stay and wipe out all the other potential queens.

Epilogue: Why do bees have a Queen?
If they had a government and ministers, there wouldn't be any honey left; every kingdom would end up getting robbed blind.

Better if I don't ruin anything🤣

I read that without even blinking.🎉
driftingmarlin44 said:When it comes to beekeeping, I’ve got three buddies in my circle—let's call them X, Y, and Z. Every single time I step out to do anything, one bee always shows up. But it's never clear whose it is. So, I'll call X and say, "Hey, a stray bee just landed near me, come grab it before something happens to it." Then he goes, "Man, that's not mine, it belongs to Y." So I call Y. "Here, there's a bee right by me." He snaps back, "Dammit, that's not mine either, it's from X." And when I ask how it can be from X if he swore it was yours, he says, "If it's not mine, it's gotta be Z's." Honestly, I don't even bother calling Z anymore because his wife loses her mind and starts screaming about how that crazy guy is calling again over some damn bee.
People always say the grass is greener on the other side. Honestly, since I didn't grow up in some quiet little suburb, it looks to me like we've got way too many queens crammed into one tiny backyard around here. Personally, I don't care about anyone else's garden. I’m not interested in what their queens are doing. They should probably come check out ours first before they start talking.

🤣

Awesome.👍How am I supposed to vote for just one story when there are three I actually like? 🕺

It’s just plain wrong.😢

Super.👍How am I supposed to vote for just one story when three of them are actually good? 🕺

Injustice.😢

Rachel Palmer56, we aren't voting for a fairy tale!
Creativity is defined by how one tackles a prompt. Some will write memoirs, others poetry, while some might simply share a YouTube link or a striking photograph—or perhaps a combination of all three. When I post the poll tomorrow, I’ll include everyone's entries underneath to ensure nothing is overlooked. Every single contribution is exceptional in its own right.
