But look, if you’re acting crazy during times that are fundamentally insane, you actually end up looking perfectly sane by comparison.🤔

I’m super active on here, honestly. But man, I gotta admit, I struggle with a few of the members sometimes. Some people just get way too intense or act incredibly weird, you know? Anyone else feel that?

I honestly don't know how anyone survives these days without some kind of outlet. You just need somewhere to vent, right? Like, where do you even go when things get heavy? For me, it’s always been Reddit. It’s that one place where you can just dump your thoughts and realize you aren't the only crazy person on the planet. I was reading through some threads earlier and it hit me—we all need that digital pressure valve. Without it, we'd all just be walking around like ticking time bombs. Isn't that true? Anyway, I saw what darksurfer4 was saying about the whole situation, and honestly? I think they hit the nail on the head. It's easy to get caught up in the noise, but if you step back, the pattern becomes pretty obvious. What do you guys think? Are we all just overthinking the small stuff, or is there actually something deeper going on here?

I'm 30 years old and struggling when it comes to women—how do I step up my game?

Good grief. It is becoming quite difficult to find common ground with you.

It’s the exact same issue, really, just playing out with different individuals, or sometimes even groups of them at once.🍿

Move out of your mother's house. That is the first step.

I would offer you several other pieces of advice—but that is something we can discuss once we get to know one another better.

First of all, maybe you should try having a little internal dialogue before you come at me like that—get your own story straight first.🙂

Well, you certainly hit the nail on the head by realizing you need backbone—in every sense of the word—because, frankly, that's the one thing women actually respect..

I was giving it some thought, but honestly, maybe I’m better off just leaving it alone🤔

Does anyone have the patience for me to lay out my thoughts on this, even if just briefly?🤔

slyraven27 said:First step? Move out of your mom's place. Just start there.

I’d give you a whole list of advice, but let's get to know each other first, right?

How did everyone even know I was living with them?

I've actually been planning to move out for quite a while now—but then the pandemic hit, and I lost my job through no fault of my own. It felt so unfair.

Luckily, I have some trial shifts coming up at a new job soon. Fingers crossed! Hopefully, this will be a chance to turn things around and finally regain some dignity and independence.

What exactly leads you to believe that I am incapable of reaching a consensus within myself? 😁

Short and sweet, December style? {Or maybe just keeping it brief?}

slyraven27 said:What exactly does that imply about my inability to come to terms with myself? 😁

Well, honestly, that’s a massive internal negotiation to undertake—even for me, I found that whole process incredibly difficult to navigate...

I am planning a move in the near future—though the whole pandemic crisis left me unfairly unemployed

Fortunately, trial days at my new job are starting soon—which I hope will be an opportunity to heal this wound through both knowledge and dignity

Well, I did tell you that I’m quite the skilled diagnostician.

Don't let being out of work discourage you right now. When one door closes, another opens—you just have to know which one to knock on.

Everything is going to be alright.

Fair enough. Honestly, I'm just glad they haven't kicked you out of there. If they did, it would be way too much, and I think that would basically kill the site. On Psychology Today, you're one of those rare pillars actually keeping the place standing.🍿

A brief summary in darksurfer4's typical style🍿

I am fully aware that this won't be easy—but I truly believe that by being here, I will find every answer I need and the most direct path toward my own healing.

I’ll probably just air out my thoughts here, even though I have a sneaking suspicion nobody actually cares to hear them...

On the absolute necessity of taking action...

If we move forward with malicious intent, there’s no doubt our actions will yield disastrous consequences... But what if our intentions are pure? Does that guarantee a positive outcome? Not necessarily. History is littered with countless examples of well-meaning gestures that ended in complete catastrophe. So, what’s the play here? Do we just sit on our hands and refuse to act at all? Is that how we avoid making mistakes? I find that logic flawed, because what happens if your refusal to step up actually paves the way for something terrible—essentially providing a vacuum for evil to rise? There was a wise man who remarked over two centuries ago, "Evil advances only as much as good people allow it to."
