Missing posts

Lost 28 posts. My count dropped from 1002 down to 974. Just sitting here wondering if it’s some glitch or what actually happened.

On top of that, there’s a ton of ancient threads that aren't worth the disk space anymore. Just a heads-up: posts in certain chat sub-forums don't count toward your total post count (like in Off-topic...). It's standard practice not to count casual chatter. However, on several other boards, those posts *do* count. Most of those chats are being moved to the Archive (where, honestly, they still count, which is a mistake), so you might see your total post count drop when that happens.

Basically, expect your post count to dip occasionally if you spend most of your time hanging out in the chat threads. 🙂

I used to have over 2,000 posts back in 2012, but now I’m sitting at just about 1,800... I haven't been particularly active lately, but when I clicked on my profile, it looked like nearly 200 posts had just vanished into thin air. Even looking through my history in Information Technology threads and various chats, the numbers don't add up compared to what I had back then.

Look, old, dead, and completely irrelevant threads get wiped out—and that’s not just happening over in the Information Technology section. That was merely one example of how many such topics exist.

I just noticed over 1,600 of my posts have vanished into thin air—seriously, what are you guys deleting that so much content is just disappearing?

It feels like everyone’s getting hit hard today; I just checked my own history and realized I’ve lost over two thousand posts, which is honestly pretty staggering. I was digging through my archives trying to make sense of it, but I don't really know... I've never been much of a heavy chatter on here, so
it’s genuinely baffling to me how so much could just vanish into thin air. Looking at my archive, there isn't even any trace of where I actually contributed, so if anything, I should have had way less missing than this.. 🤷
Maybe they were clearing out some threads in the 'Off-topic' section or something, but there's no way I dropped more than two thousand posts in that specific area.

A massive amount of older discussion threads from various US departments and agencies have been dumped straight into a recycle bin that we can't even access, and as soon as those posts get moved, the total post counts for everyone who participated in them start dropping.
That’s the information I’ve received, and frankly, I believe it's the truth because there's really no other logical explanation for what's happening here.

Sure, I get that, but honestly, I haven't really hung out on Lesu or Zudu since 2012—I don't even have a single post on here to show for it—and I barely participate on the US boards either, so it still feels
kind of surreal to see that I’ve racked up nearly two thousand posts; maybe it’s because I was somewhat active over in IT Help, though even then I didn't go overboard, especially since Aderlon
mentioned they tend to clear out those old, dusty, irrelevant threads there anyway, so it doesn't matter much, but I think I had just under six thousand posts back in the day.
