New post incoming—and honestly, I’m feeling pretty relaxed lately.
For the last few days, I’ve just been sinking into various series and those deep-dive PBS documentaries—you know, the ones like "How Art Began."
And then there's that phenomenal series, Cosmos... 😁
The Beatles and Voyager 😁
It’s been great—no effort required, no unnecessary tension or arguing.

I really hope you’re catching some episodes of Cosmos with Carl Sagan.
Right now, I’m just having a bit of a refined, low-key evening catching up on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and my old favorite, love Lucy.

S onim black guy 😁
Haha
Man, hearing the Spice Voyagers soundtrack just drags me straight back to 1997
I can literally see myself in high school—just getting out of the shower, drying my hair, and settling in to watch some TV
Young, handsome 😁 zero problems, except maybe those terrible grades I pulled in physics 😁

I’ve never actually gone out of my way to take breaks—not even for a hundred percent enjoyment (as long as it doesn't hurt my habits, anyway)—so it's never been intentional. It just seems to happen where I won't feel like watching movies for maybe two or three months at a time—I can't quite pin down why, since I never planned for it—and then I just pick things up right where I left off. Right now, for instance, I haven't watched a single film in three weeks; I'll try to start one, but then I just get this feeling that I can't really do it. I don't think it's an issue with my concentration, though, because I still watch series regularly and keep up with my reading. Maybe I just hit a point of burnout or saturation, I guess, but I'm not entirely sure.

It’s been two months now. That’s why I’ve stepped up my game and I'm hitting three to four sessions a day lately.

I can’t believe I actually let myself drop the ball and stop posting for an entire month
all because of that ridiculous NASA alien rip-off
The only part worth watching is the retro aesthetic they nailed in the first half
but then things just fall apart... including the writing
the plot just doesn't have enough teeth, honestly
and the monster? Totally underwhelming

Could easily stretch to a month. But honestly, without YouTube, I’d probably lose my mind... 😁

A month and a half...

I was actually thinking about planning something for Halloween, but nothing new really caught my eye—and honestly, it’s a bit too late in the season for a horror marathon

The worst part is, I think I’ve just lost interest entirely.
Going from watching four movies a day back in 2004 and 2005—haha, man, a lot of time has passed since then

I’m just thinking about watching the Nativity Story around Christmas instead.

You dropped Parasite but it just isn't hitting right
I guess I've officially stopped watching movies altogether

Haven't really sat down for a movie since May or June. Just didn't have the energy... just binged series instead. Then this week, out of nowhere, I'm back to films. It’s only Thursday and I’ve already knocked out Singin' in the Rain, Sex, Drinks and Bloodshed, ZG80, Metastasis, and Valkyrie.

Honestly, I’m just thinking I could probably handle four
like, Dina, Wrong Turn, Scream 5, and that new Napoleon movie
and actually sit through all of them in a theater😁

... at the movie theater?
... watching it on TV?

... over at the neighbor's place?

I don't watch movies as often as I used to. I feel like I've already seen most of what actually interests me, so now I just check in occasionally to see if anything new has surfaced. It’s rare for something to grab my attention, and even rarer that I’ll finish a movie once I start one. This year, I’ve only watched a handful of new releases along with some older films I had previously enjoyed but forgotten about. I still regularly follow the specific TV series genres that I enjoy.

So, I actually just cut my previous list of movies short
I managed to break the ice with a couple of pretty obscure sci-fi flicks
Level 16
Orbiter 9
Plus two horror movies
The Curse of The Audrey—which, honestly, I’ll probably never be able to remember the name of correctly
And Vigil Vigil
Vigil Vigil looks like the best one out of the bunch

Man, there was a time when I’d binge two movies a day, easy. Now? If I manage to squeeze in one or two a week... I guess that's just life.
My peak watching phase was basically all summer long—I'd probably hit three or four titles, mostly catching stuff at those outdoor movie nights in the park. But honestly, the longer the days get, the less I want to be stuck staring at a screen.

Every single night, I used to sit down in front of my computer to watch a movie, or maybe two, since I’ve got a massive collection saved on my hard drive, but ever since I started dealing with this constant physical pain over a year ago,
I just can't bring myself to watch anything at all; I spend the whole time just praying I can fall asleep as quickly as possible, and honestly, I miss movies so much... I really hope I can get back to enjoying them soon, because when you feel absolutely
awful, it's nearly impossible to focus on a story.
