I mean, the platform rules against those fringe groups and whatnot, and this Eros guy was constantly lecturing Jesse Howard43 and me about how we were xenophobic—it was pretty obvious he was extremely far-left politically.
Regardless, it’s interesting to see that even here, users are basically hooking up behind the scenes. 😳

What made you think that? It’s a much better way to put it—plus, this version uses fewer words and feels more complete since you're basically assuming he got to Jesse Howard43's point just by reading his post, even though there are other ways he could have reached that conclusion. Here's a little tip: try asking him an equally thorough question with:
a) exactly two words
b) exactly one word.

What exactly in his post points to that?
How did you pull that from what he wrote?
Whereabouts in that post did you draw that conclusion?

As long as the question isn't just plain ignorant and idiotic, like, "So how ya got to that thought from his post? : caveman: in my opinion that's right"
All this other stuff about making it simpler, shorter, or better... it doesn't really matter to me. The most important thing is that the question is clear and that I don't end up looking like a total caveman☕

In academic writing, you’re supposed to cut out all the fluff. Honestly, it drives me absolutely crazy when I run into these massive, bloated sentences that could easily be broken down into a few punchy ones or just simplified entirely.
But hey, looking at this thread... steelorca5 really knows how to handle the English language for the sake of this forum. 😁
He’s actually a better writer than some of my own colleagues back home. They’ll go ahead and slap "C2 proficiency" on their resumes, while I’m over here being humble with my B2! 😬 I have no clue what his accent is like, but for us, trying to nail a perfect American accent often feels forced, like we're just putting on an act. Once we finally relax, most of us end up sounding more like Russians anyway 😁 though I cringe whenever I hear recordings of myself speaking! xD
