Concerto no 6 in B-flat major, BWV 1051: Without tempo indication

Slay Sebastian! 🙏

Right when it kicked in, you could hear that dum dum dum dum rhythm 😲 Too bad the whole track doesn't stick to that beat (even if we aren't talking about pop music here 😁).

It’s got this massive Baroque vibe, but it still feels totally unique to me.

Bach's Concerto no 6 in B-flat major, BWV 1051: Adagio ma non tanto

We're running into a few hiccups with those slower tracks, but whatever.

Bach's Concerto no 6 in B-flat major, BWV 1051: Allegro

The absolute best part for me is when the cellos in the background start shredding through those fast passages 🙏

Overall, the Brandenburg Concertos 👍 or maybe, uh ☕

hiddenmarlin14 said:Now you’ve got me thinking about this tempo. I went down a rabbit hole looking for other versions, and yours is definitely one of the faster ones. There are others with the exact same markings where I honestly feel like I might fall asleep because it’s just too slow. 🙄 This version is quicker and they’re using period instruments, so the intonation feels right too. 😉

Hmm, listening to it again, the speed actually feels pretty solid, but I guess I’m subconsciously comparing Bach's presto to Vivaldi's. ☕

Yeah, maybe that other version is technically faster, but the piece itself has these slightly drawn-out notes, and it definitely has that "old school" vibe going on.

Time for another snooze fest. Sor : Complete Studies for Guitar

Honestly, I have no clue if this music is actually going to be listenable or just total torture.

Had to Google who this guy even is since nobody gave me any details.

Fernando Sor (born Feb 14, 1778 – died July 10, 1839) was a legendary Spanish classical guitarist and composer.

Alright, seems legit. Time to dive in and listen.

Anyone want to join? 🙂 Probably won't be a huge crowd, though. 🕺

24 Progressive Lessons, Op. 31: No. 1, Andante

Short, sweet, and easy

24 Progressive Lessons, Op. 31: No. 2, Andante

Nice. Really subtle details here.

24 Progressive Lessons, Op. 31: No. 3, Allegretto moderato
Another cute one for the collection.

24 Progressive Lessons, Op. 31: No. 4, Andante
Honestly? This might be my favorite so far.

24 Progressive Lessons, Op. 31: No. 5, Andantino

Just like the others—pretty chill, but with just enough weight to keep it serious.

Progressive Lessons, Op. 31: No. 6, Andante

I'm digging how that steady rhythm just drives through every single note. It’s got this great motoric feel.

24 Progressive Lessons, Op. 31: No. 7, Andantino

Short, sweet, and done. That's the whole vibe right there.

24 Progressive Lessons, Op. 31: No. 8, Andante

Why does this give me total Miami vibes? Maybe he was channeling some coastal energy or something??

24 Progressive Lessons, Op. 31: No. 9, Allegretto

Wait, hold up—so these "lessons" are actually full-blown musical pieces??😲 This one feels like a bit of a miss though; it sounds way more like a dry technical exercise than an actual composition. 🕺

24 Progressive Lessons, Op. 31: No. 10, Cantabile

Didn't really sit down to listen properly, just gave it a quick strum here and there.

That’s meeeeeeee 🙂

Here’s a little mood setter. It might be a bit much at first glance, but honestly, the more I listen, the more I'm digging it:
