Palatal expanders for adults: Any experiences?

Does anyone happen to have any insight on this? I’m over 30 and interested in trying it. My local orthodontist mentioned I’d likely need to travel all the way to Italy to find someone who handles this. Does anyone have any information they could share? Thanks in advance. 😊

You don't need to go to Italy... did your orthodontist actually tell you that your situation requires a palatal expander?
If there's a legitimate medical reason for it, I know an orthodontist and a surgeon who work together and perform those kinds of procedures
