Problems again. I'm feeling that dull discomfort under my right ribcage—and sometimes off to the side, behind the shoulder blade. It isn’t exactly sharp pain; more like a periodic tightness. I just feel that area of my body, if you know what I mean. On my own initiative, I went in for an abdominal ultrasound. They told me my liver is fatty and enlarged. Everything else looked fine. My blood work came back mostly normal too—ALT and AST levels are steady (though my AST was elevated a few months ago)—but now my total bilirubin is up at 21, when the upper limit is 17. So, where does that leave me? Should I keep digging? I should also mention this other symptom: a sort of nausea in my throat, rather than my stomach, though there’s no vomiting.
I started Googling again, which is just a fast track to a mental breakdown. It's getting the better of me.

It's not even like sharp pain, just this periodic tightness... you know, like I can just "feel" that part of my body if that makes sense. I went ahead and grabbed an ultrasound on my own, and they told me my liver is fatty and enlarged... everything else looked fine. Ran some blood work too and things seem steady (ALT and AST are normal, though my AST was high a few months back), but now my total bilirubin is up—it's at 21, and the cutoff is 17. So, what's the move? Should I keep digging? Also, I've been dealing with this weird nausea sensation in my throat (not my stomach) without actually throwing up...
Back to Googling again, which honestly just drags me right back into that endless spiral of madness... it's driving me nuts...

Just breathe, man. Most people deal with this stuff; everyone panics when they start worrying about health.
So, what's causing the fatty liver?

I’m feeling pretty run down. I suppose that’s why... Plus, I'm managing diabetes and dealing with high blood pressure.

So, I’m about 5'10" and 160 lbs, and my doctor just gave me the news that I’ve got a fatty liver
Don't sweat it too much, man—the liver actually regenerates itself... just gotta watch what you eat...

For me, the skin breakouts and that constant, crushing fatigue finally cleared up once I figured out what was going on...
Turns out, it was ten years of living on nothing but greasy takeout and Diet Coke... total wake-up call...

I used to live on Coke and sparkling water... I haven't even touched a cigarette in quite a while. I don't really do the fast food thing either. Now, I'm just stuck with this nagging discomfort, and I can't stop worrying that it's something serious. Is it always like this? Every time I search Google, it just shows me the absolute worst-case scenarios.

It’s not that bad, seriously. Just try to get a solid routine going for everything

And you'll be fine...

Everything will work out fine.

Well, thanks for the encouragement...
