Lewis fans are definitely being pretty obnoxious.
And honestly, it's pretty embarrassing for Lewis, rather than something to praise, considering in all those 244 starts, at worst, he was sitting in a top-three car.
while in most races—and I mean the vast majority—he was in the absolute best car on the grid without question...

In reality, Lewis had a car capable of more than just winning or taking pole,
it was dominant enough to pull off a Grand Slam almost every single race during the stretch from 2014 through this season's summer break, which is 112 races in a row.☕

So, feel free to crunch the stats however you want...
If you add in 2007/2008, plus those few races between 2009 and 2013 where McLaren was more than capable of winning, you easily hit a minimum of 150 races in the fastest car on the grid...

Even now, when people suddenly claim the car is "slow" out of nowhere, it's still right up there with Ferrari and totally possible to win in it.
It's not like it's a Williams just because Lewis is feeling emotional about it. 🙄

No, not really.🤦 Actually, his posts are full of wisdom and insight, without any bitterness or malice; everything is purely logical.

Unfortunately, yours are starting to look like they're coming from the exact same keyboard. Just look at this post. Instead of stopping after such a blunt initial claim, you keep piling it on and rambling. Tough times, my friend.🕺

I can't wait for the race. I'm honestly pretty hyped because there's a chance we might actually see Mečkin 100 break that century-old record at this track as early as today.

Most of his posts are basically just pure nonsense and venting frustration, let’s be real.
Honestly, if I were still a mod, he’d be the first one I’d kick off this forum, probably even before Gary Palmer8🙂

But he’s dead right about how Lewis Hamilton completely blew a mountain of pole positions and wins...
You can lie to yourself all you want, but deep down you know that's the reality.☕

Given the car and his standing in the team, he should've hit at least 120 podiums and 120 wins by now, plus at least 7 titles—and that’s not even counting this year.

Sure, maybe...
But on the flip side, people are born with other things too, and there's clearly no fixing that either...

If we're going by that logic, Michael Schumacher always had preferential treatment within his team. Meanwhile, Lewis Hamilton had to go up against Alonso, Jenson Button, and Nico Rosberg without any special status. Even if he was favored over Valtteri Bottas, it wasn't anywhere near what Schumacher got compared to Eddie Irvine, Rubens Barrichello, and the rest.

Seriously, even Bridgestone was making tires exclusively based on his preferences during the war against Michelin.

You also forgot about his massive rival Felipe Massa, whom he barely beat for the title thanks to a huge dose of luck.😵 😵

While Kimi Räikkönen was sleeping...😁 😁

Bottas status in the team isn't even worth commenting on.

There are way too many Lewis Hamilton fans out there acting absolutely delusional.
Honestly, it’s pretty embarrassing for Lewis. People aren't giving him credit where it's due, but let's be real—over those 244 starts, he was driving one of the top three cars on the grid at the absolute worst. Is that really something to brag about?
For most of them—and I mean by a landslide—there was never even a question about it. They were driving the absolute best car on the grid. No doubt about it.

Let’s be real: Lewis had a car that wasn't just built for winning races or grabbing poles. It was on a whole different level.
I mean, talk about total domination! We're looking at a Grand Slam streak that just won't quit—covering every single race from 2014 all the way up to this season's summer break. That is 112 races in a row. Can you even wrap your head around that?☕

Go ahead and crunch all the stats you want... see if that changes anything.
If you throw in his runs during 2007 and 2008, plus those stretches between 2009 and 2013 where the McLaren was absolutely lethal and always fighting for wins, you’re easily looking at at least 150 races where he was sitting in the fastest car on the grid. Seriously, how can you argue with those numbers?

Even now, even when everyone is suddenly claiming out of nowhere that this car is "slow," it’s still right up there with Ferrari. It's totally on par. Honestly, you can absolutely win a race in this thing!
It’s not like Williams is actually that bad just because Lewis Hamilton is tearing up. 🙄

Sure thing, buddy, no problem at all. But just think about it for a second—isn't it kind of embarrassing for your favorite driver? I mean, besides that one full season, he’s spent his entire career driving a top-three car, yet his win percentage is still way lower than Lewis Hamilton's. Just look at the numbers! 22.65%.

Let's just narrow this down to the top two cars, shall we? Because let’s be real—Ferrari hasn't been the one since 2015, back when Sebastian Vettel moved over there. Just look at how badly he struggled after that. That's your words, not mine! 🤷):
96 starts under his belt! 14 wins, that's about 14.74%.

Meanwhile, look at Hamilton: he’s already hit 96 starts! 48 wins, 50% win rate. Can you believe that?

Go ahead and ignore the stats all you want... but they don't lie.

darkmarlin16 said:Let’s be real, MSCH actually has a better percentage. That comeback of his just totally trashed his average. He really shouldn't have let that happen.

Exactly. Without that last comeback, he’s sitting at 243 starts, 91 wins, and a 37.45% win rate. That's just a hair better than Lewis Hamilton's 33.20%, but I guess if we're listening to our esteemed colleague TBF1D, even that is considered "shameful." Meanwhile, Vettel stands out with his 22.65% and somehow he's above everyone else? So anyone actually more successful than him is just a disgrace? Give me a break.

It’s blindingly sunny out here in Miami. Honestly, probably too much sun for Haas to handle. Pre-race coverage starts now:

ruggedcyclist56 said:Oh, by all means, my friend, if you insist. But perhaps you should take a moment to reflect on how utterly disgraceful it is for your favorite driver—who, aside from his very first full season, has spent his entire career piloting a top-three car and thus maintains a significantly lower win percentage than Lewis Hamilton—sitting at a mere 22.65%.

Or shall we narrow our scope even further to the top two cars? If we look specifically at Ferrari from the moment Sebastian Vettel made his move in 2015, we can observe his supposed "disgrace" (to borrow your own terminology, 🤷):
96 starts, 14 wins, 14.74%

Compare that to Hamilton: 96 starts, 48 wins, 50%

Feel free to ignore these statistical realities for as long as you find convenient...

Precisely. Even without accounting for his return, he holds 243 starts, 91 wins, and a 37.45% rate. That is marginally higher than Hamilton's 33.20%, yet I suppose that too would be considered shameful if we were to follow the esteemed logic of our colleague TBF1D. It seems that because Sebastian Vettel sits at 22.65%, he is somehow superior to everyone else, while anyone more successful than him is simply a "disgrace."

The statistics you are citing are utterly meaningless; they are nothing more than hollow numbers on a page that can be manipulated any way one chooses.🤦
Since 2014, Hamilton has possessed a dominant car on the grid; his competition has been scavenging for mere crumbs until this summer break.
You may write endless odes of praise and attempt to exalt Hamilton to the heavens, but any driver currently on the grid would possess those exact same statistics if they were handed the keys to such a machine.🍿

Brian Campbell36 said:Those stats of yours don't mean squat. They're just numbers on a page, totally meaningless. 🤦
Since 2014, Lewis Hamilton has been driving a beast of a car that dominates the entire grid. Everyone else has just been fighting over the scraps until this summer break.

And the competition is still out there picking up crumbs because Mercedes already locked down the 2019 title. Their focus has shifted to developing the 2020 car for months now, where they're probably going to absolutely crush everyone again, just like they did during the first half of this season.

Brian Campbell36 said:You can write all the fanboy essays you want and worship Lewis Hamilton to the heavens, but any driver on today's grid would have those exact same stats if they were behind the wheel of that car. 🍿

Exactly. Even Valtteri Bottas has stats like that. 👍

There’s already a massive thread dedicated to all the historical titles and drivers, so why on earth am I stuck reading about Michael Schumacher again on the 2019 Sochi GP thread? Just take that conversation somewhere else.:

ruggedcyclist56 said:Exactly, and don't forget that Nico Rosberg and Valtteri Bottas carry similar statistics as well. 👍

If you’re going to go looking for trouble, don't be surprised when you find it. 🍿
Bottas isn't allowed to win; he is nothing more than a damn number two driver, a fact we saw clearly during the last Singapore Grand Prix.
He actually had to throttle back by three seconds just to ensure he didn't overtake the British person.
And yet, despite being second in the WDC standings, they humiliate him just so guys like you can sit around pointing fingers and saying, "well, the statistics show this and that..." 🤣
Time and time again, he has been forced to hold back his competition simply to secure a victory for Lewis Hamilton.
He is merely a subordinate to Hamilton, expected to follow the rules and keep his mouth shut.

Rosberg took the title and walked away, having realized early enough that there is no profit in dealing with a devil from Germany; after all, Hamilton doesn't earn ten times more than the team's errand boy for no reason. 🤦

Valtteri Bottas isn't allowed to win because he's the damn number two driver. We already saw how that went down at the last Singapore Grand Prix.

Oh, I see how it is. I actually thought when you said "any driver on the current grid," you meant *any* driver on the current grid—including Bottas (who is definitely on the grid and driving that exact car right now). My bad! 👍

Brian Campbell36 said:You can write all the fanboy essays you want and try to put Lewis Hamilton on a pedestal, but any driver on the current grid would have those same stats if they were sitting in that car. 🍿

So basically, you mean any driver on the current grid *except* the ones in a Mercedes, until they actually get into a Mercedes and then suddenly the rule doesn't apply anymore? Just like what's happening with Valtteri Bottas. Got it, loud and clear. 👍

We specifically said above average, and let's be real, Bottas isn't exactly above average. xD

Edit:

Anyway, enough of this. Let's just get to the race! XD
