US Grand Prix (Indianapolis Motor Speedway) Sept 27-29, 2019

Max Verstappen, Albon and Gasly are getting slapped with five-place grid penalties at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway since they’re dropping in a fresh ICE. Kvyat is in a different boat though—his engine component timing is totally off, and Honda decided to just swap out everything in his car, so yeah, he’s starting from the back. Honda power ☕

It was easy enough when a dominant car could mask any mistakes, but they might actually find themselves missing a faster Esteban Ocon now.

Why on earth would Ocon be faster than Bottas?
When exactly has Ocon ever demonstrated that level of pace?
Maybe based on his ability to decide whether to win or lose against Sergio Perez?
By all measurable standards, Bottas was a far more impressive driver than Ocon prior to joining Mercedes-Benz.

What kind of god is this Ocon? Bottas would eat him alive, let alone Lewis Hamilton.

People overhype Ocon way too much based on those Force India performances, which weren't even that remarkable considering how some people choose to view them.

Charles Leclerc took the top spot in FP1. We'll see how things unfold throughout the rest of the weekend.

Did anyone catch that second stint? He was running on those older tires and carrying a heavier fuel load, yet he was still absolutely flying. Honestly, his aggression during those qualifying laps was just next level—it was wild to watch. At this rate, I just don't see any way for Sebastian Vettel to catch him in a single qualifying session for the rest of the season. 🙏

Looks like Toto Wolff might have taken a nap during the break—man, he's gotta wake up! At this point, we're basically just praying Lewis Hamilton's pure driving talent can carry him to the title, especially since the car is sitting at 5. on the grid...

Max was driving incredibly well, but he ended up taking a penalty, which just sucks...

Any idea if we’re looking at rain tomorrow or Sunday?
Edit: Probably gonna hit us tomorrow, but Sunday looks like it might stay mostly dry.
