Discord is absolutely nuking my PC performance

So, my Discord has been acting up for a few months now. It’s a huge pain because I need it for certain games, and honestly, it’s becoming a bit of a headache for work too...
It just hangs on a gray screen and stays totally unresponsive. I tried a full reinstall, but no luck there. The only way I can get in is through a web browser, but man, I really don't want to spend all day clicking around on a website when the app should just work.
