I just got my deltoid biopsy results back, and they seem to point toward muscular dystrophy—which is quite a shock, I guess. For the last eight months, I've been dealing with constant muscle pain on my right side, and now it’s starting to spread to the left... plus some blurry vision, headaches, and this strange sensation like my whole body is shaking. My neurologist is sending me for vestibular testing, evoked potentials, somatosensory testing, and both an MRI of my upper soft tissues and one for my cervical spine. I’m really hoping there might be someone here with similar symptoms—maybe we could share what we know while we try to figure out what's actually happening to our bodies? I'll admit, I'm starting to feel a little panicky—and I'm not usually the type to panic, per se—but this news has definitely shaken me up. Sorry for the long post, but I truly hope there's someone else out there facing these same issues

I don't have much experience here, but is there any chance it could be something like polymyositis rather than m.distr.? I wonder if they might be considering that possibility too... since I know they're planning a muscle biopsy.

I honestly don't know—it was just the first thing they decided after my nine-month medical leave ended—and until I get through these next few tests, I suppose I won't have any real answers. It’s either this or something else entirely; I feel like I'm losing strength in my hand and leg day by day, and my foot is starting to drop more and more. I'm just really hoping all of this finally leads to an accurate diagnosis so I can start working on getting my strength back—if I could only believe it myself😁.
