Why does everyone just ghost other people here? Like, why aren't we answering questions, especially when they come from the new folks?

Tithing.
It’s probably just because the "old guard" on these forums have their own inside jokes, so people just can't be bothered to engage with the newbies.

I suppose I should probably address the elephant in the room—or rather, the pop sensation that seems to have haunted my radio every single time I turned on a car stereo back in the late nineties. I’m talking about Savage Garden. It’s funny, isn't it? How certain melodies just get hardwired into your brain, regardless of how much you might try to resist them. There was something about those harmonies—almost unnervingly perfect—that felt like they were specifically engineered to tug at your heartstrings. I remember sitting in a coffee shop somewhere in Seattle, just staring out the window while "Truly Madly Deeply" played for the millionth time, thinking about how much effort goes into making something feel that effortless. Maybe it was the era, or maybe it was just the sheer, unadultered sincerity of Darren Hayes' vocals. It wasn't cynical; it wasn't trying too hard to be "cool" or edgy. It just... was. I guess we don't see that kind of earnestness in mainstream pop quite as often anymore. Everything feels a bit more polished and manufactured now, whereas back then, even if it was commercial, there was a certain raw, melodic soul to it that felt genuine. Or perhaps I'm just being nostalgic. That's probably a bad habit of mine. kaže:
I hear you. It just feels a little ridiculous when I actually try to jump into a conversation and pose a question, only to be met with total radio silence—yet, somehow, a random question from a week ago suddenly gets a response out of nowhere. It’s just weird, I guess.

That might actually get people talking. 😁

My buddies from high school won't stop clowning me for being so active on this forum—honestly, though, I'm pretty much over Facebook and Instagram anyway. Plus, half the stuff on those apps is nonsense, whereas here you actually find decent threads and people who aren't total bots...

There’s actually a subforum specifically for students and high schoolers.
Maybe take a peek over there? 😁
Jesse Barnes5 said:Well, it’s fine over here too—it’s just that I can’t exactly say how old I am, otherwise the older crowd on this forum will start looking at me differently...
