Many of us here have been hanging out on this forum long enough that I think we’ve evolved past the formalities for a topic this intimate.

We’re talking about alcohol. Just get it all out—whatever comes to mind regarding the most popular poison on the planet.

What’s your go-to drink and when? Your absolute favorite, or the stuff you can't stand? Maybe a recipe for a solid homemade liqueur, or where to find cheap stills for distilling your own spirits. We could even dive into how to manipulate public perception so people stop thinking booze is such a villain, its impact on the arts, or how it affects your sex life... honestly, there's no limit to where this goes.

I’ll kick things off.
When I'm out and grabbing some liquor, I usually go for an Amaretto.
I also enjoy a glass of red wine, typically during lunch. Nothing fancy—just the kind of homemade blend my family puts together. It's mostly Zinfandel mixed with a few other varieties. It's easy to drink, but if you aren't careful, it hits you hard.

I'm a huge fan of herbal liqueur—actually grabbed some with a friend last night (she's more of a vodka girl)... I also love a solid wine, plus beer in the summer and Bacardi with a kick...

I can drink beer, but it’s just not my thing. I prefer those darker, bitter brews—and that's about all I know there is to know about beer.🤣

On a monthly basis, I’d say I consume maybe two or three beers in total—and that’s really about it.

I’ve always enjoyed a good drink; there’s something about it that helps me unwind and just settle down. I really appreciate the ritual and the flavor profile.
That said, I’m not someone who just drinks anything for the sake of it.☕ I don't touch liquor at all.
Lately, my rotation has been strictly limited to:
- strong black coffee
- a high-end Merlot from Napa Valley

That’s pretty much the extent of it.

I'm actually taking a break right now to give my liver a bit of a reset.☕

Maybe two or three times a month, just a couple of pints in the afternoon at the local pub, paired with a juicy burger or some BBQ ribs slathered in sauce.

Sometimes I’ll indulge in a glass of red wine in the evening, too—just me, my headphones, and YouTube... just enough to feel the buzz.☕

I’m not much of an alcohol drinker myself; I rarely touch the stuff unless I'm having a beer once in a while, though my absolute favorite is definitely a good pear brandy. ☕

I’m not much of a drinker—it's more of an occasional thing for me, maybe New Year's Eve or just a random night once in a while.
When I do decide to indulge, I go for top-tier red wine—last time I had a really incredible Napa Valley Cabernet.
If I have a few drinks, I tend to get a bit silly and start acting foolish—but if I actually get drunk, things take a turn toward being extremely high-strung and... let's just say, highly suggestive.

If I have a couple of glasses, I tend to get pretty playful and start acting a bit silly, but if I really overdo it, my inhibitions totally vanish and things get pretty intense and wild.

Exactly how much do you have to drink before you're seeing stars and feeling the heat?

Who's in?
🙂

I'm down,🙂
though I suspect by the final mile we’ll all be crawling rather than walking.🤣

On the subject of getting worked up—alcohol completely unhinges me. I just turn into this cynical, pessimistic philosopher who couldn't care less about anything. Honestly, seeing women get overly flirtatious after a few drinks? It just kills my mood entirely.☕
I remember one time, a friend and I had a few too many; some guy approached us, but he ended up walking away because he said he couldn't stand listening to us anymore. Then there was that incident where a bar owner tried to keep me drinking, and instead of ending the night in bed, it ended with me being called by the police.😂 🤣

On the topic of being turned on, alcohol just completely flips a switch for me. I turn into this pessimistic philosopher who suddenly doesn't give a damn about anything. When I see women getting all loose and sexually charged after a few drinks, it really just kills the mood for me.☕
One time, a friend and I had a bit too much to drink, and some guy came up to us, but he ended up walking away because he said he couldn't stand listening to us anymore. Another time, a bar owner tried to keep buying me drinks, but instead of ending the night in bed, it ended with me having to call the police.😂🤣

That last part sounds pretty interesting. 🤣 Can you unnamed 😳? 🍿

It’s a long story involving Richard Sanders7, honestly quite ugly. I ended up having to get up just to get away from him.🤣 🙂
The guy kept trying to push drinks on me, but I wasn't interested in anything he was offering. So, he actually approached me—acting all sweet and patronizing—and when I stood up, I asked him what he thought he was doing and told him to quit acting like he owned the place. He actually called the police on me. I just walked out of the bar; I had zero interest in sticking around to deal with that mess.🤣

This guy kept trying to send drinks my way, but I wasn't having any of it. So, he actually approached me—just being all pushy and inappropriate—and when I stood up and asked him what he thought he was doing and why he was acting like that, he actually called the police on me! I just walked right out of the bar; I really wasn't in the mood to sit around waiting for them.🤣

😂 😂 🙏

Your first time getting wasted?

Mine happened when I was about four years in high school—somewhere around '89. A group of older cousins, all around 15, organized a backyard BBQ. I remember being so stoked just because I finally got the green light to hang out with them.

We get to the cookout, and they decide to mess with me by handing me a bottle of beer. I can't recall the brand, but it was some cheap domestic stuff, maybe a Budweiser or something similar. I took it down sip by sip, desperate to act like an adult while they egged me on for their own amusement. Everything seemed fine until I started crying and vomiting. Eventually, I was so wiped out they had to carry me home while I was dead to the world. I don't remember much after that, but I heard my parents absolutely tore those kids a new one, and everyone involved ended up grounded.

I rarely drink these days. I don't like being drunk; I know my limits and I have a decent tolerance. Aside from that one disaster, I’ve only truly lost control a few times in my life. When I do drink, I tend to mellow out. I become empathetic, listen to what people have to say, and stop caring about the small stuff.

With a calm, unnamed vibe. 😬
I've actually started steering clear of those heavy, intense black wines lately—they just don't seem to sit right with me anymore.
