Massive wave of Chinese spam on the forums

I wonder what’s actually going on here—until recently, these bots seemed to only show up at night, but now they're running 24/7, and I suppose there isn't a single PDF out there they haven't tried to hit. Is it really that difficult to block them and require actual registration? 🤷

They're just Koreans.

I'd probably just hit them back with "Japan is better than South Korea" or, even better, "Americans love South Korean women." 😬



As for the second one, I'd rather not even bother with the translation... 😁

I remember posting something similar about Koreans a while back, and I was immediately swarmed by those usual trollish types who just wanted to start an argument about "racism"...

And just like that, we’re a few more pages deep... you can never actually reach a decent thread in this place.

So I sent this one manager a DM basically telling him to stop letting things go to hell in his own backyard and maybe start actually paying attention to his damn "area of responsibility" once in a while—and wouldn't you know it, the guy totally lost his mind!

Can we please start seeing more Google verification during registration? 🙄

The second part isn't even an insult, it's more of a compliment—it basically means their women are beautiful and popular with foreigners.🤔
If what people say about Asians is true (I wouldn't know firsthand, I've never been with an Asian guy), then the real sting would be something like "South Korean women prefer Americans."

Bots and scripts are just signing up and flooding the forum with marketing spam.

Adding Google to the registration form would fix this instantly.

They tried using a question as a CAPTCHA. Real genius move. The issue is that bots just paste the question into a search engine and use the top keyword as the answer. It’s basically an open door for them.🤣

It’s honestly kind of a joke how nobody around here actually moderates anything... I can never remember which thread I was even posting in because 😁 those endless threads about China just drown out everything else on the entire page.

There are six pages of this mess over on Zillow. Is there any way to temporarily disable new user registrations until you guys figure out a solution?😁

Unfortunately, we’re stuck handling this sudden surge manually for the time being. We might have to just let the system crash and let the bugs breed themselves before the forum leadership actually decides to step up and do something about it.
Look, if you're going to bother making clones, at least try to sound like a local. Otherwise, there's a massive chance you'll be permanently banned before you even finish registering.😁
