Thanks for keeping this thread organized, cosmicgull52!
I think there are a few more of us who jumped into the NFL pick six later on. It might give us a much clearer picture of how everyone is actually doing if we ranked things by win percentage instead of just the total number of picks hit. It’s kind of like how the NFL standings work. Just a suggestion to chew on. If it's too much of a headache to change things up for this season, maybe we can start doing it next year.🤔🤷

I believe many of us joined the NFL pick six later on. A more accurate measure of success would be based on win percentage rather than total correct picks. It is the standard principle used in the NFL. This is my suggestion for consideration. If changing it mid-season is too difficult, let's implement it next season.🤔🤷
I can compile those stats at the end of the season, but I don't think using them for rankings is fair. 🙂 We should still reward consistency in participation, shouldn't we?

If this proposal actually goes through, I honestly think we need to set some kind of cap—maybe you can let 2 or 3 rounds slide, but nothing more than that. Otherwise, you’ll have someone who burns through their first 16 rounds just waiting on that final stretch... they'd basically only need to nail 4 out of 6 results to land an absolute win. And let's be real, looking at the math, nobody among us is even averaging 4 out of 6 right now anyway...

I’m with Benjamin Foster2 on this—it’s actually a solid idea. You get a little cushion, say 3 weeks of buyouts, and you can just play them whenever you want during the season.
With how things are set up right now, if you miss 3 weeks, you're basically cooked. I'd call it impossible to catch up at that point.
But honestly? I dig this direction. 🙂 Props to the commish!

This creates intriguing strategic opportunities. For instance, a player holding the highest win percentage after week 14 or 15 could simply stop playing and still have a legitimate shot at winning, provided they played every previous week.
I am uncertain if this is the direction we want to take. If we experience next season, we can launch a poll one week before kickoff and act based on the consensus...
Regarding this current season, changing the rules after week nine is unfair.
Out of the 44 forum members who have participated so far this year, 38 or 39 remain active. Here is the breakdown:
-Seven missed a single week, four of whom missed the first week.
-One missed both the first and sixth weeks.
-One missed the last two weeks.
-Two joined quite late, during weeks five and six.
-28 played every single week.
I am providing this just so you have a clear view of the current situation...

I’m really not feeling that direction, honestly. It’s probably best if we just leave things exactly how they are right now, because at the end of the day, you have to give cosmicgull52 a massive shoutout for all the heavy lifting he put in 👍👍👍

Look, I play this for the fun of it, not because I care about my end-of-season score. When the Broncos, Jets, or Packers are in the mix, you already know how I roll... which means an NFL pick six is never on the table for me. 🙂 Do whatever you want; I couldn't care less.
Glad cosmicgull52 actually finds joy in messing around with this stuff, though. 🙂👍
