Aesthetics don't mean much when there's zero substance behind them.

This isn't some stylish Italian flick 😁 nor is it one of those recent American productions—or anything even close to that caliber...

This is the best movie of last year, perhaps even the decade. It is a brilliant take on the 80s slasher and revenge genre. I don't usually care for those types of films.

The direction and writing are incredibly smart and tight. Yet, it feels as though the director and cinematographer were tripping on LSD the entire time. Honestly, most of the characters are constantly on LSD throughout the film.

It is difficult to find the right words. Just watch it.

Garbage!

Some people claim the director—or cinematographer, whatever, who cares—looked like they were tripping on LSD during production... I guess that’s how it comes across to folks... but seriously, go ahead, strip all that damn red color out of the movie... and what are you left with? 😵

The film only manages this tiny hint of abstraction and "art house" vibe because of that overwhelming red palette... if you take that away... man, you've got absolutely nothing left... just straight-up garbage.

I honestly can't even believe I actually sat through this whole thing until the credits rolled. It was just a psychedelic mess of a movie. Easily lands in my top three all-time stupidest watches, right up there with Halloween II and that other absolute disaster by Zombie Goods.

This could have easily been a tight, watchable 80 minutes. I spent two whole days trying to power through it, just waiting for it to wrap up.
Instead of a decent, high-octane trashy flick, we got this pretentious "art" slog.
Sure, there are a few sharp lines of dialogue scattered throughout, but that’s not enough to save a two-hour runtime. If you want actual satisfaction, stick to the first five Hellraiser movies.

Trying to mimic the styles of Kubrick, Noe, Argent, or Lynch is just a pathetic attempt at being deep—it's total garbage, as someone else already pointed out.
2/10, and honestly, the only reason it isn't lower is because of N. Cage.

Honestly, those two hours were probably some of the worst time I’ve ever wasted. I actually did my homework and read some decent reviews before sitting down, fully expecting a fun little ride.
What I actually ended up with was something so out there I wouldn't even suggest it to my best friend, let alone anyone else.
Just total heavy metal psychedelia. Gross.
