So, this marks my eighth straight weekend glued to the UFC, and I’m pretty sure I’ll need a little breather after this one.

The whole plan was for Max and Edgar to headline this thing, but since Max ended up getting injured—for the second time now, if you can believe it—that fight is officially off the table. Now, we've got Cyborg and Yana stepping up at the absolute last minute to save the day, while Edgar has been handed a new opponent in Ortega, who, honestly, has been looking pretty incredible lately.

A pretty skimpy PPV lineup 🤷

The only fight actually worth watching for me is obviously Edgar - Ortega. Honestly, I feel like it might be a little premature for Ortega to be stepping up like this, but hey, we'll see how it plays out. 🍿

At first glance, the card looks a little thin, I guess, but honestly, huge props to the women who basically saved this whole event 🙏 because we really only had two paths here—either this whole thing turns into just another standard Fight Night or they pull the plug entirely.

It’s such a bummer that Bobby Green got sidelined with an injury last week, too; he was supposed to face off against Dariush 😢 though, I have to say, the preliminary lineup is actually looking pretty solid 👍

Exit and countdown:

Man, I’m really pulling for Arlovski to pull this one off 🙂 But honestly, looking at the matchup, Struve might actually be the favorite here,
plus let's be real—Arlovski's chin is basically made of glass. It scares the hell out of me every time he takes even a tiny
hit... I swear, if you tapped him with a pillow, he might go down!

I don't know much about Kunitskay; I don't follow the women's divisions that closely, but Holm proved
that you can actually push Cyborg to a decision. Even she isn't some unstoppable machine. Still, Cyborg is definitely the heavy
favorite tonight.

Damn, Wanderlei is just built exactly like him, it's like they're twins 😁

Tuned in. I'm pulling for Cat and Yana. Honestly, Yana’s got a pretty dangerous toolkit; she fights in the same style as Holm, which makes me think she might actually have a better shot here given how Holm operates. It's a solid card!

Chris Cyborg.

It's impossible not to love her.😁

Only Amanda Nunes stands a chance, and even then, it's a maybe.
Make it happen.

Poor Yana, she just got thrown straight to the lions. 🤣

Ortega 🙏 Honestly, what really caught me off guard was seeing how much bigger Frankie looks compared to her 😲 It’s like he’s playing in a completely different weight class.
Frankie is a solid fighter, and man, I feel bad that things ended up this way for him. 😢

Malley 🙏

I haven't had a chance to check out the other fights yet 😬

Arlovski is talking a big game, but this guy is basically a statue right now—that’s two in a row after his loss to Volkovski. Honestly, it's just frustrating to watch how passive he is.

Edgar really ate a nasty uppercut and elbow there. I'm actually digging Ortega; I bet Dana is going to absolutely hate him.

Cat looks a bit rusty. She needs more cage time, even if she wasn't totally crushed by this one. Personally, I thought she looked better during the exchanges. Go Cat.

Sugar is basically Conor McGregor 2.0—super flashy, especially when he switches up his guard. It’s almost ridiculous, but I guess Soukhamthath might actually take it if he doesn't completely fall apart.

Yana was pretty underwhelming. I expected way more seeing as she’s a former Invicta FC champ training out of Jackson Wink MMA. Just mediocre, I guess. Though, she did look decent during her warmups and in her previous fights. Holm handled Cyborg way better than this, and honestly, she looks like she could be a contender for a big fight soon. Plus, having that 150lb boxing background makes her a bit beefier than your average 135er.

Those were some excellent fights.

Regarding Malley 🙏
He’s quite a compelling figure, and the fact that they slotted him straight onto the main card suggests they’re clearly looking to build him into the next Conor McGregor.

As for Ortega 🙏
That uppercut he landed on Edgar was absolutely devastating—he practically knocked him right out of his shoes. And don't even get me started on that elbow 🙏
Though, if I had to guess, I think Halloway might just outwork him with that relentless pace; it should be a fantastic matchup.

Then we have the highly anticipated Nunes-Cyborg bout. To be honest, Cyborg seems a bit too large and physically imposing for her, though it promises to be entertaining regardless. Since Nunes is also incredibly dangerous on her feet, this one is likely going to be a real nail-biter.

Look, I’m not really one for the loudmouths, but I guess they’ve got a point here. Holly is pretty much the only one who actually managed to grind through all five rounds. Maybe she could tighten up a few specific things—though, to be fair, she's already working on stuff like that regardless of how Cyborg performs.

Yeah, I guess that fight with Arlovski isn't exactly a blockbuster matchup, but honestly, he’s gotta play it that way. Someone mentioned earlier that he could probably knock her out with a cousin-style move or something, and I think he actually realized that himself. He'll likely just stay smart, take his time, and eventually dominate that little underdog.
Ethan Chavez3 said:I guess we’re talking about Malley now. 🙏
He’s got that look, doesn't he? The second they slapped him on the main card, it was pretty obvious what the game plan is. I guess they're clearly trying to build a new Conor McGregor out of him.

I mean, I'm pretty sure he already picked up his bonus. I love you They basically need a sensation like that to stay relevant. 🍿

Ethan Chavez3 said:Ortega 🙏
Man, that uppercut from Edgar was absolutely insane. It practically sent him flying out of his shoes. And don't even get me started on that elbow—just brutal. 🙏
I mean, I'm leaning towards Halloway being able to just outpace him and kill the tempo, but honestly? It’s probably gonna be an absolute banger regardless.

It’s exactly what everyone’s been saying: Edgar just has way too much on the line here, while Ortega doesn't really have anything to lose. It’s gonna be an interesting matchup regardless, but the real issue is that Edgar is too humble. He won't talk any trash or play the game, which honestly might be his biggest disadvantage.
Ethan Chavez3 said:I’m pretty much just waiting on the Nunes-Cyborg fight at this point. Honestly, Cyborg seems like she might be a bit too big for her, and physically she just looks way more powerful, but it should still be a hell of a show. Then again, Nunes is dangerous enough on her feet that this could easily turn into a total nail-biter.

It’s definitely an interesting matchup, though honestly, I think she needs to do exactly what Holly did—just shut her down in the clinch. Some high-level BJJ would probably work wonders there, especially since she actually makes weight at 145 instead of just ballooning up like everyone else in the division does. To me, the most intriguing part was seeing how much Yana struggled with those basic strikes. 😲

Malley 🙏

He’s an incredibly impressive athlete; we’ll see exactly what he’s capable of.

Ortega 🙏

That elbow followed by a massive uppercut—absolute perfection.

Cyborg makes it look routine.

And yes, I'm glad to see Arlovski coming out on top.

Malley is like a toothpick. I was just waiting for him to snap, and then—boom. It happened.

The guy is 5'11" and only 130 pounds. He really needs to move up a weight class.

I think he’s overreacting a little bit this time around. That throw by Yuna was legitimate jiu-jitsu. If nobody else is pulling moves like that, that’s on everyone else, not the quality of the throw itself. 🤣

And honestly, looking at the rest of the division... I just don't see anyone who could actually handle Chris right now, regardless of what flaws he might have. ☕

The fight was honestly kind of a snooze, but I gotta say, Holly held her own pretty well. She definitely has some things to iron out, but she certainly didn't fall apart like some of the others—and let's be real, most of those girls didn't even make it to the final bell.

The whole division is kind of a mess, honestly, mostly because they just don't have that deep roster of heavy hitters. Plus, there's always that weird stigma hanging over it—it feels like they're constantly teetering on the edge of being a steroid-fueled category. You've got women who are naturally well over 145 pounds, then they go through this brutal weight cut to hit 140 for the UFC, and after that? It's basically just a massive cover-up. Länsberg For example.

I mean, I guess it’s pretty obvious that they’re probably going to try and bump her up from the 135-pounder division straight into the 145s, especially since she seems to be gunning for that 145-pound weight class anyway. 🤣

Honestly, that woman is just a machine. There’s no debating it; she’s got hands like a heavyweight man. I guess we just need some female version of DC to come in there and absolutely wreck her on the mat. 🤣🤣😁

I just caught the Zingano vs. Vieira fight on NBC, and honestly? It was pretty mid. Nothing to write home about, really.

Arlovski played that one incredibly smart—he did exactly what he needed to do to get the job done. On the other hand, Struve was just a complete disaster out there. Never in a million years.
He’s just not gonna pull it off... nothing from him.

Soukhamthath and his crew are absolute clowns. 🤦

Man, Ortega is absolutely incredible in there, but honestly? We really need to talk about how he handles his weight cut. It’s getting a little hard to watch sometimes. He's such a beast, but that whole process needs some serious regulation.
There’s honestly nothing quite like watching those absolute units in the cage—fighters who are just massive and naturally sitting at least one weight class above everyone else. It’s wild to watch!
Man, it feels like they’re just spinning their wheels, looking for a fight that isn't even there. It’s honestly the same exact thing we saw with Rockhold. For me, that’s just how it goes.
Hey, excuse my language there, folks—I didn't mean to sound like such a total jerk! But seriously, at least Rockhold actually had the guts to announce his plans.
Heading off to the desert...

Cyborg is an absolute beast!

All in all, this whole event—well, at least the main card, since I didn't bother watching the rest—was pretty solid!
Nothing too crazy to report here... honestly, if it wasn't for one of my absolute favorites, Arlovski, she wouldn't even be in the conversation.
He probably didn't even bother to watch it.
