Baywatch (2017)

Look, some actresses are stunning and some just aren't—they're totally mediocre. I’m a woman, but honestly, Pamela Anderson and her crew were absolute bombshells, and this new lineup is nothing special. Even Zac Efron looks off to me; I’ve got a feeling he was leaning a bit too hard on the protein supplements. He looks completely drained. He usually sticks to mindless action flicks, so I figured I'd give it a shot just for him, but man, looking at this cast... it's a total letdown.

Light entertainment. I laughed a few times at some of the jokes, which was enough for me. One thing though—the women weren't really my thing, especially Priyanka Chopra. Her whole dramatic way of talking is just too much; felt like she was getting off on her own performance.☕
Daddariti has some seriously creepy eyes.
And that whole shipwreck disaster could have been handled way better.

I honestly don’t get it—this whole thing felt like a total waste of time. I have no clue why they always take these "serious" shows and try to turn them into movies that sit right on that awkward line between being a parody and just being... well, not funny. The original series was just some chill, B-movie action stuff—perfect for when you want to turn your brain off and just relax... but this? This was just plain boring. It reminds me of those other disasters, like Starsky and Hutch or 21 Jump Street.

I feel like this was supposed to be a parody, but some people took it way too seriously..
Especially that part where they list everything Michael saved. A grandma, a dog, an aunt, all that stuff.🤣
The only thing that actually spooked me was seeing David Hasselhoff... WTF???😲

Honestly, 21 and 22 Jump Street are actually hilarious and just solid movies

You’re absolutely right that those old shows used to poke fun at themselves, but this isn't even parody anymore. It’s just pure, unadulterated stupidity. Honestly, we might as well just laugh out loud. All they're missing is a canned laugh track to tell us exactly when to react.

Those series were trashy back in their day, and we should just own that and move on.

Honestly, Jonah Hill is probably one of the least funny guys in Hollywood—and man, the competition is stiff when you look at guys like The Rock, Tucker, Black, or Hart... plus the humor is just your typical, blunt, low-brow American slapstick. You might be the first person I've ever run into who actually thinks these movies are funny...

He’s pretty terrible in almost everything he does, but he was actually great in "The Wolf of Wall Street".

I love Tucker, no matter what anyone says, even if those last two flicks he did with Jackie Chan were total cash grabs.

Here's another one 🙂. The first one was alright, the second was just okay... but I wasn't exactly expecting anything more than just some mindless entertainment out of them...

And you act like she said movies like those Adam Sandler, Kevin James, or Rob Schneider flicks are garbage, or those terrible parodies (dati movie, Scary Movie, etc.). The 21 Jump Street movies actually did really well with audiences (both have over a 7 on IMDb and pulled in some serious cash) and with critics too (around 70 on Metacritic and 85 on Rotten Tomatoes). In fact, 21 Jump Street is considered one of the most successful remakes in recent years...

Look, Hill isn't my personal comedy king either, but calling him the *least* funny? I'd put guys like Martin Lawrence, Adam Sandler, Kevin James, Rob Schneider, or Zach Galifianakis way higher on that list... there are plenty of them. 🙂

It strikes me that this entire endeavor was intended as a parody from its very inception, yet I find myself observing that certain individuals have approached the film with an almost unsettling degree of solemnity.
It was particularly striking, that specific sequence where they begin detailing the sheer breadth of everything Michael managed to rescue—everything from an elderly grandmother to a loyal dog, and even his own aunt.🤣
I must admit, I experienced a momentary sense of genuine trepidation when I happened to lay eyes upon David Hasselhoff... what on earth was that?😲

The opening sequence was quite frankly rather trashy, starting with that clumsy attempt at rescuing the dragon and proceeding straight into that tedious enumeration of details.
Everything surrounding that production is nothing more than a poorly executed comedy.
And that is precisely how I find myself hoping, as well. 🙂

Whenever I see Hart on screen, it honestly makes me sick. And lately, I feel the exact same way about Rock.
