My quota post got nuked twice in a row—once last night and again just now—over that whole Esih and Hasanbegović debate. Honestly, I didn't say anything that warranted being silenced, and it just shows how biased the moderation is. They let one side say whatever they want while shutting down everyone else. To the admins: please give me a PDF of the politics section. Participating in an environment this one-sided is starting to feel pretty pointless.

Hajde, I wish we could finally just admit it: if descendants are dealing with trauma, that’s on their parents or themselves—not on the criminals who caused the damage or the people who covered it up. It makes zero sense to expect anyone from the perpetrators' side to offer sympathy or feel sorry for what happened. And honestly, the kicker is how people try to justify a lack of basic empathy by claiming it’s just a reaction to being provoked. That's just plain wrong.
Luckily, I don't carry that baggage around myself, and I won't need several lifetimes to let it go. But because of how people approach things, plenty of others do. That’s why it’s great to have guys like Esih and Hasanbegović stepping up to speed up the healing process and pushing people to actually think and rethink their stances.
