Quick question for the group—if we’re looking at stainless steel rods with the exact same diameter and length, which one is actually going to hold up better against bending (basically, which one can handle more pressure before giving in)? Are we talking A2 (AISI 304) or A4 (AISI 316)?
I don't want to get bogged down in the weeds with specific chemical compositions or the exact percentages of chromium and everything else—let's just stick to what we'd call your "standard" A2 vs. A4 rods, assuming they have the same thickness and length.
Also, if I totally missed the mark on where to post this PDF, could a mod please move it for me? Or, if someone's feeling helpful, just let me know where the right section is!
