NETFLIX IS PLANNING A SUPERNATURAL MANGA ADAPTATION OF DEATH NOTE.
A fresh report out of The Hollywood Reporter suggests that director Adam Wingard is joining forces with Netflix to bring the iconic Death Note series to life. We might see Nat Wolff—who really stood out in the indie darling Paper Towns—taking a lead role, alongside Margaret Qualley. There’s even talk that Netflix is eyeing Keith Stanfield for the cast, though they haven't officially extended an offer for him to join the adaptation of the manga series just yet.

It really ought to be handled as a series. Otherwise, the manga and anime are top-tier, but there's absolutely no need for a second part.

Great manga, great anime—previous live-action versions were decent enough, provided you ignore the deviations. I honestly thought this one was just rumors for a while, probably fueled by those stories about Zac Efron playing Light Yagami. 😁 Though, I suspect that chatter was about a movie rather than a series. 🤔

I wonder if Mello will be left out here too. 😳 He gets sidelined quite a bit—not that I’m particularly bothered by it. 🙂

Some Americans might be too stubborn to actually enjoy the series, but honestly, who cares? It’s going to be an interesting watch regardless.
