Dental abscess during pregnancy

Hi everyone.
I put my diagnosis right in the title.
So, I need to have my upper left molar pulled on April 22nd—it’s an alveotomy procedure.
I’m currently 31 weeks pregnant, and I actually already had to go through an alveotomy on a lower molar at the oral surgery clinic earlier in this pregnancy.
The whole thing took forever and was incredibly painful, even after they gave me three different injections...
To be honest, I can't even remember if they were cutting the root or just trying to scrape out some inflammation...
Right now, I'm not taking any medication. The doctors told me antibiotics aren't really a great idea during pregnancy anyway, and said they wouldn't do much help regardless...
I am terrified of going through that level of pain again.
With a diagnosis like mine, is there any way to get the tooth removed without all that agony?
And isn't pulling a tooth while there's active inflammation dangerous?
These teeth are huge, and the roots go deep—like 25mm deep...
I'm starting to panic here... I get chills just thinking about how bad that last extraction was, and the recovery afterward was just as brutal...

Honestly, I'm starting to panic; just thinking about the last extraction and the recovery process gives me the chills.

Upper teeth are generally easier to extract, and the jaw is much easier to anesthetize than the lower one.😉

I really hope things turn around soon. It’s just... every single time I go in for an extraction, the tooth just cracks right there in the chair. Then they have to take the saw out and grind through the roots bit by bit. It’s brutal. Especially when the local anesthetic doesn't even touch the pain... 😣
