The first thing that hit me was the pure nostalgia factor—just some lighthearted fun. But the second thing? It’s all about this duo:

Bebop & Rocksteady

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II Trailer (2016) - Paramount Pictures

They’ve added Stephen Amell to the cast, and they're even bringing in the cartoon classics—Bebop and Rocksteady!

Honestly, they had me at hello. 😬

Whoa, seriously! They look freaking awesome—honestly, they capture that classic animated series vibe perfectly, just with a much more dangerous, gritty edge to them. 👍

I really hope we get to see Krang and the Technodrome show up soon, though maybe they’ll save all that epic stuff for a third installment? My biggest wish is that they either ditch Shredder entirely or actually get him right this time; I don't want a repeat of how they handled the Transformers / Terminator situation in that first movie.

The trailer looks solid. We might finally get Bebop & Rocksteady in the mix 👍
I’m just crossing my fingers that after the last one—which was basically just April O'Neil The Movie—we actually get the Turtles front and center this time. Looks like they're already getting plenty of screen time in the trailer though

Yeah, okay, great trailer, totally feels like some kid's cartoon which I guess is exactly what they're aiming for. Let's just pray Michael Bay doesn't go overboard and ruin everything with his usual explosions.

Ladies and gentlemen.... KRANG !!! :clapping::🙏

image

They absolutely nailed his look, seriously—he looks exactly like the Krang we grew up with in the animated series. I mean, look at those tentacles and those teeth! 😁

Man... this is what I’ve been waiting for, finally seeing him show up in a Turtle movie. 👋

I am beyond stoked that he's actually going to be there; honestly, no matter how the rest of the movie turns out, they finally did the right thing by bringing in one of the most iconic characters from the original animation.

I’ve always wondered why they even bother making a Turtle movie if Krang isn't part of the deal, right? Like, damn, they even made sequels and he was still missing, but that injustice is finally being corrected.
I've always had a massive soft spot for Krang... as much as I hate to admit it! 😂 He's just one of those gritty villains you can't help but... loathe! 🤣

And of course, Bib and Rocksteady are in the mix too, instead of some random giant Turtle or whatever other weird creature they tried shoving in from that old trilogy. God, they used to throw in so much nonsense and invent these fake characters when they had so many legendary ones already, like this trio who will finally be here.

I man, finally we’re getting a real Slicer instead of that weird Transformers / Terminator / Iron Man Slicer vibe from the first "April The Movie," right? Like Richard Wilson4 said, it just wasn't hitting the mark before.

image

But wait, what the hell is this?!? Is the Technodrome actually gonna be there? Because if it is, man, that would be huge! That’s how you do it! Even if it looks like it's flying or whatever, they really need to include that stuff so when I'm watching, I actually feel like I'm in the world of the Turtles. It's all part of their universe, you know? Just focusing on the Turtles isn't enough—that would be like making a movie about an NBA Champion but only showing one player and completely ignoring the rest of the team. It just doesn't work like that!

SPOILERS

PLUS
-Megan Fox doesn't show up as much
-Bebop & Rocksteady are honestly the best villains yet, they’re actually cool characters and look great too
-Krang makes an appearance
-A little bit of nostalgia here—the Turtle van ejects gear just like the old toy did🙂
-Will Arnett is hilarious as Vernon
-Some of the action sequences are pretty fun

MINUS
-Megan Fox is still in it, but her dialogue is just straight-up terrible, absolute trash🤦
-The guy playing Casey Jones is awful, just really bad
-Slicer doesn't wear his mask for like 90% of the movie
-The scenes with the Technodrome feel way too much like Transformers
-Leonardo is kind of annoying in this one, and Michelangelo is sometimes way too childish—he's just kid-like, not actually stupid

Overall, it's a fun kids' movie. Definitely better than the first one, and like I said, the best part is that Megan Fox isn't in 90% of the scenes like she was last time.
The dialogue is rough and the scenes feel a bit like a video game, but it doesn't kill the vibe that much because kids are gonna have a blast with this; there's hardly any filler.

All in all, I'll give it a 6.5/10. That extra half point is strictly because it's a slight step up from the first flick.
The Transformers are each a little bit worse, so I guess that's something too.

Take the kids; they'll love it, and you won't hate it either, just don't go in expecting a masterpiece.

@Richard Wilson4/">@@Richard Wilson4 just tell me one thing, is the Technodrome actually flying through the air or is it crawling along the ground like it did in the old cartoon?
And hey, make sure you throw in a spoiler warning so people who want to stay in the dark don't find out by accident!

Stephen Amell - Green Arrow 😁
I mean, I actually thought about watching this movie because of him, but since he's a total joke too... I guess I have better things to do with my time.

Make sure to add a spoiler tag so people who don't want to know stay in the dark.

SPOILER
Nah, it's basically just your standard Transformers flying base. Though, seeing how it all pieces together is something else. 👎

I've been thinking about that old tech we used to love. Remember those early portable music players? I was digging through some old boxes in my garage the other day—found a dusty Walkman from back in the day—and man, it just hit me how much things have changed. Everything is so streamlined now, so digital and instant. Back then, you actually had to *care* about your music. You’d spend hours carefully picking out tracks, making sure the tape wouldn't tangle, and praying the batteries didn't die right when your favorite song started. It was a whole ritual. Now, it's all just one giant cloud, which is convenient, sure, but there was something special about having that physical connection to the music in your pocket. Just a little bit of nostalgia hitting hard today. kaže:
Stephen Amell playing Green Arrow. 😁
I was actually thinking about checking out that movie because of him, but honestly, once he starts acting like a total clown, I’m out. I've got better things to do with my time.

Are you really giving up just because of one little critique?

Are you kidding me right now? Seriously? 😁

I mean, come on. It’s just your run-of-the-mill Transformers flying base. I guess the real question is how you're even supposed to put the thing together. 👎

I mean, honestly? We should've seen the Transformers stuff coming from a mile away. I guess when you've got Michael Bay calling the shots, you just expect things to go a certain way. It’s kind of his signature move, isn't it?
You know, I feel like in a lot of movies, you can really sense the "ghost" of the director's earlier work hanging in the air. It’s like their fingerprints are all over everything they touch.

You can really feel the fingerprints of his older movies all over a lot of his stuff... it's pretty much his signature move.

Except he isn't even directing this one.

Wait, wasn't he missing from the last movie too? I still remember him getting into a bit of a back-and-forth with Megan Fox because she was being disrespectful, but he ended up giving her the part anyway.

Look, we can't know for sure, but if you ask me, he's the one to blame for that whole "Megan Fox, uh... April the Movie" mess. Now I'm also blaming him for how the Technodrome turned out.😉

That's weird.

I haven't really dug into the specific casting or the production crew for this one, but I definitely remember hearing rumors that he was going to direct TMNT.

Plus, people were already complaining that the villain looked way too much like something out of Transformers. Now, with the sequel, we're getting those same Transformers vibes all over again.

It feels like nobody here is really vibing with the Turtle movies lately, which is wild because I’m actually planning to head out and catch one in theaters in about ten days or so.

Finally got around to watching it. Honestly? It’s way better than the first one.

Bebop & Rocksteady :klap:🙂🤣🙏

Man, they absolutely nailed them—both the character depth and the physical look. It really captures that classic cartoon vibe, you know? I’m seriously impressed because they stayed true to their personalities from the original series, which was just perfect.

And Krang... he finally showed up! He looks great, but I really wish we saw more of him, though.

The Technodrome is finally here too! But man, it just didn't hit the mark for me. Like, okay, having it fly around is a change, sure, but the whole assembly thing? Come on, that was kind of silly.
Plus, the parts look like they're made out of literal junk while they're putting together. It should look high-tech and advanced, not just some random scrap metal.

As for Shredder, he's a total mess in this movie. In the last film, he had that Transformers-style vibe, but here he’s wearing this weird diver/scuba suit that makes him look totally ridiculous. It’s like this rubbery outfit that completely kills his intimidation factor.
And don't even get me started on the fact that we barely see him do anything! I mean, how can you have a movie about the kornjaca where Shredder doesn't actually fight?! Not even once! 😲👎
He actually looked much tougher at the start without the suit than he does later once he puts it on.
The dynamic between him and Krang felt a bit off, too. They really should have teamed up so we could actually see him in action, and honestly, Splinter should have been right there in the mix with them.

April is awesome, though! She’s a much stronger character than she was in the first movie, and yeah, she's definitely more sexy too.

*

The actual plot itself could have been so much tighter.

It would have been way cooler if the Technodrome was hidden underground and then emerged to destroy buildings on the surface while the kornjac charged in... just keeping it exactly like the cartoon, you know? No need to mess with perfection.
