Windows 8 vs. Windows 10 drivers?

I'm currently using a Dell Inspiron 15. I was running Windows 7, but my hard drive finally kicked the bucket on me. I'm in the process of picking up a new one, but I've been wondering—will I run into any major headaches with driver compatibility if I jump straight to Windows 10? If things turn out to be a mess, I might just settle for Windows 8 or even stick with Windows 7 again.

So, I went ahead and installed Windows 10 on a laptop where the manufacturer’s site didn't even list the proper drivers for the graphics card. To my absolute surprise—and honestly, I wasn't expecting this—Windows just went ahead and pulled the correct drivers automatically. Everything is running flawlessly now. It looks like I won't have to deal with any driver headaches after all.
