Laptop issues

Hey there,
So, here’s the deal. A few days ago, I set up a password on my macOS (you know the one), but for some reason, it won't let me in. It just keeps throwing an error saying my password is wrong. I’d love to just wipe everything and reinstall macOS, but there's a catch: my laptop screen is totally dead. I can't see a single thing when I try to enter the BIOS. Is there any way I could actually get the BIOS to show up on an external monitor? Right now, the external screen only kicks in once I hit that "Welcome" screen.
The OS is Windows 7 Professional

Try connecting your computer to the TV using an HDMI or VGA cable. I use HDMI for my setup, and I can see the BIOS clearly on the screen.

You think you know the password? If it’s right, there’s no way it won't let you in... Check if you hit Caps Lock by mistake or maybe Num Lock if you're using the number pad.

I tried hooking it up via HDMI yesterday, but I'm getting absolutely nothing on the screen. No signal at all.

I don't think I'm just guessing, either. I'm pretty sure about this because I rebooted the whole thing immediately after entering my password. I tried the password again, but it wouldn't even take it.

If you find there is a "z" in your password, try swapping it out for a "y" instead. I actually ran into that exact situation once myself.

I gave the Num Lock trick a shot and, wouldn't you know it, I finally got in. 🤣🤣

So here’s the deal... whenever I boot up my old Dell, the screen starts flickering like crazy, and I have to fiddle with the angle just to get a decent picture, though eventually, it stabilizes for a bit before it all goes south again... it's like trying to fix the reception on an old tube TV... I’m starting to think the display is shot, but someone told me it isn't because they hooked it up to their own setup and it worked fine, so now I'm just stuck wondering what the actual issue is... mind you, this machine is about ten years old at this point 😁
