If you ask me, this is hands down one of the absolute best action flicks from the nineties! It’s got such a stellar cast and a vibe that just pulls you right in.

This remake is going to be such absolute garbage it’s actually impressive—and honestly, the trailer pretty much gives it all away...

A lot of people completely missed this one. I love it. Keanu still looks so good he could easily carry a remake, especially since the duo in the trailer has zero charisma.

I’m right there with you on that one! Honestly, as much as I absolutely adore the original, the actual plot is kind of all over the place... but let's be real, the story isn't what made that movie a legend. It relied on a totally different magic altogether. We're talking about the incredible cast, those heart-pounding action sequences, the sharp dialogue... seeing Kiedis from the Red Hot Chili Peppers pop up, that killer soundtrack, Lori Petty... and honestly, just the masterful direction from a female director who clearly has more guts than most of her male counterparts in the industry. 🙂

I’ve just got this nagging gut feeling that the movie is going to flop, or at the very least, fail to grab anyone's attention—and I'm pretty convinced that even getting a PG-13 rating won't save it from that fate—but somehow, I'm actually kind of relieved that the cast isn't packed with massive A-list superstars.

It’s actually pretty cool to see how Angela Pappasa is playing this role, much like how that British actor Ray Winston was in that fantastic prison drama Scum from back in the day.

I honestly think this movie is incredible. That leap scene alone is such a rush that even if they did a remake or kept the original, it couldn't be bad. I get an adrenaline spike just watching it... oh man, you guys have to see this film!

What an absolute disaster of a movie 😵

Honestly, it was a huge mistake trying to link this back to Point Break from '91 or its characters. This could’ve easily passed for an xxx movie or just stood on its own as a separate flick.
Edgar Ramirez is actually killer in this, even if they definitely overplayed his role.
The only things I’d really give props to are the predictably solid sound design—which you'd expect for a movie like this😁—and the locations and stunt work.

Even though he’s a bit over-the-top in this one, I have to say Edgar Ramirez is absolutely fantastic in this role.

I actually wanted to jump in and mention that scene on the chairlift... man, that moment alone almost saved the whole movie for me, and I really wasn't expecting much! It’s such a shame that sequence was tucked away inside such a mediocre film. 🙂

I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw you post that. If this had just been released as its own thing without trying to link it back to the original Point Break, it probably would’ve landed much better. Besides, looking at the trailer, there isn't even that much in common with the original, at least not from what I remember. The movie definitely has some solid scenes, but I think that's about as good as it gets.

Simply put, this film was an absolute disaster.

The first 10 minutes actually weren't half bad... then everything just completely went off the rails. 😢 I'd give it a 5/10 on IMDb. Honestly, even that feels generous. 😬

It’s just awful. I mean, seriously... there isn't a single scene, a scrap of dialogue, or even one decent character that you can actually stand.

Honestly, this movie doesn't even come close to the original.

The surfing shots? Yeah, those were solid. But those wingsuit flying scenes? Total letdown. Such a snooze fest.

If they wanted it done right, they should've hired these guys:
