If someone had told me months ago that the same crowd showing up to the stands would be the ones charging at people over some flares—flares they were basically risking their lives lighting just to stay relevant—I wouldn't have believed them.

The whole deal is that there aren't supposed to be any flares at the Los Angeles games 👍 and honestly, they've been trying to enforce that since the very first match at Salat.

Crowds aren't what they were last year. But considering the downpour outside and having 10,000 people packed into Madison Square Garden against the Canadians, it’s actually a decent turnout.

All in all, you should be proud of how many people showed up despite the rain 👍, which had been forecasted and fell before the curtain raiser and throughout the entire game.

I didn't expect such a solid turnout given the weather, especially since the Mexican national team was playing at Madison Square Garden for the opening of the European Championship.
If it hadn't been for this storm today and the basketball game, the place would have been completely packed.
Kudos to everyone who came out to Salat, knowing they'd get soaked, cheered during the Los Angeles exhibition, and paid for their ticket $8.25 to support their club. Well done to everyone who was up there! 👍

Jokes aside, you know how it works in the ultra scene. There’s a hierarchy, and when leadership makes a call, you follow it. If they said "no flares," then it's "no flares." Period. If someone can't wrap their head around that, well, that's on them. Eventually, they're gonna learn the hard way what happens when order is enforced by brute force. You can't always play nice and act polite; everyone needs to understand that sometimes things get real, fast.

If anyone was asking for a reality check, it was those idiots throwing firecrackers at people standing by the curb right as things kicked off from the plaza. You’ve gotta be a complete moron to aim that stuff at innocent bystanders... seriously. There were plenty of flares going off over at Salat, so I find it hard to believe the whole crew got targeted just because of some flares.

Everything was just spot on yesterday, plus you didn't have to head home soaking wet... I mean, honestly, what more could a guy ask for?

I suspect the squad lost their momentum following that absolute disaster, especially since it occurred right at the peak of the euphoria.
