Fine, the thread was nuked. I wasn't expecting anything else. Naturally, it’s because it "didn't follow the rules."

So let's play by the rules then. My question is right above; I don't have a link, but you know where to find it. I've got the image, and it's right here below.

image

Is this actually a violation of the forum rules? Or will people get penalized for posting stuff like this about dogs being killed in the news one day? I won't even bother asking about Jews, Mexicans, Armenians, or anyone else... it's a waste of breath.

Look, I just want an answer to this specific question.

The user behind that top post hasn't actually been penalized for breaking any forum rules. If you take a look over at the community boards or check the appeals section regarding recent moderation actions, you'll see him venting his frustration about the penalty there.

William Bennett53 said:The user behind that previous post hasn't been penalized for breaking site rules. If you check the complaint logs or the appeals against bans, you'll see him whining about his punishment. Go look for yourself.

First off. 😉
Then you corrected it.

But fine, the fact remains: three days later, he’s still posting just like I am, even after I called him trash to his face.

So, celebrating people being thrown into mass graves is treated the exact same way as calling someone trash. It's the same violation.

By the way, you slapped me with a ban for allegedly leaking private data. I actually started looking for his specific post where he did it by saying: "There were very few of them left at the old mill, mostly killed, too bad some escaped."

Now I’m bringing this issue into the light publicly. This isn't about doxxing anyone; it's about the fact that the user first tried to settle things through private messages with administration, and when that failed, he went public to see if other users could help track down a post that "mysteriously" vanished.

I know, I can't prove it because the post is gone. How convenient.

But the reality stays: someone wrote that people tossed into pits lived like animals and deserved to die that way. And the reality is he’s still posting three days later.

He was nearly hit with a permanent ban twice! Why? Why can't certain people get banned once, especially those who have contributed nothing but trouble to this site?

What’s the secret behind the protection this guy gets while constantly dancing on the edge of hate speech?

Look, I won't sit here and speculate that there's some political bias involved—just answer the question. Because if some right-wing piece of trash had written that regarding victims of extremists, how many points would they get? A 35, 45, or a 70-point ban within three days? Would there be a police report filed too?

Let's agree on one thing: celebrating the execution of people in mass graves is one of the most severe violations possible. Let's establish that as a universal standard and decide that such an offense should result in a one-strike rule on this forum. I don't care who says it.

This post should have earned at least 500 points for hate speech, if not an immediate permanent ban. That's my take, it's yours, and it's what everyone reading this knows. So why isn't that the case, and what kind of special treatment is this guy enjoying? You tell me.

Just to test the logic, I could swap in different groups into his sentences and then you tell me how many points those sentences carry. Why does one sentence mentioning a Jew or a Mexican trigger the heaviest penalties, while another saying wounded soldiers and medical staff are Americans is treated as a minor infraction?

bluecyclist64 wasn't even penalized for breaking the rules; he was flagged for blatant trolling, and I simply adjusted the penalty points and duration accordingly. He isn't being protected by any special interest group—if anything, his own accusations that we're being too harsh with similar arguments prove my point.
Ultimately, moderation requires judgment. If it didn't, we wouldn't need moderators at all; we'd just need some technician or an algorithm to hand out penalties based on a manual. Mistakes happen sometimes; no one is immune to them. Besides, I can't recall a single moderator who hasn't occasionally changed their mind, whether it was by choice or due to external pressure. In this specific instance, the moderator's assessment—which I agree with—was that bluecyclist64's post didn't constitute classic hate speech, even if the trolling was obnoxious. Therefore, the penalty was scaled to match that reality.

Regarding the explanation for your own penalty, which included elements of doxxing private communications: you have already been warned about such behavior, and I am asking you to never do it again. In this particular case, you cited private discussions and agreements among the moderators that were never intended for public view; you shouldn't be privy to those, let alone discussing them here. Given that you are debating how someone else should be punished, keep in mind that the standard penalty for posting private information is 500 points and a 7-day ban. Even then, the moderator exercised discretion and adjusted the penalty significantly due to certain mitigating circumstances.

Just as with bluecyclist64's appeal, I have nothing more to debate regarding this matter. Users are ultimately responsible for what they write and how they interact with their peers. Moderators cannot be everywhere at once to stop things before they escalate. When we do intervene, we strive to adhere to established criteria while keeping the context and the subject matter in mind.

Of course I do. Just lift the ban on Marasovac.

William Bennett53, I’m stepping out of this debate. Let people look at the arguments and draw their own conclusions. But things shouldn't be happening behind closed doors.

You're trying, I'll give you that. But you aren't getting very far.

Regardless, you, me, and everyone else know that if what that right-wing forum user wrote had been posted by anyone else, he wouldn't be here. If a right-winger hadn't been slapped with a permanent double ban, he'd be racking up 500 points for that post. Right!? And they wouldn't even bother coming to you, because they feel like filing an appeal with the management at Kruger National Park.
So go ahead, keep trying. You'll know you've actually succeeded when the right-wingers start complaining to you. Until then, this whole thing remains just another repetitive pattern we've seen for years.

A debate just like this one a few years back regarding another forum member actually established the rule that approving comments about throwing people into pits counts as hate speech. It makes me sad because this exact situation has dragged us right back to where that debate started. Back then, it was a violation of trolling rules; now, it's treated as some sort of "nuanced step." A piece of trash is still trash, no matter what fancy name you call it. Hate speech is hate speech. If you want us—you and the others—to understand what you're peddling as "discussion context" or whatever other excuses you use, just throw in a mention of an uncle, a father, a brother, another nationality, Romani, Jews, homosexuals, or whatever else you like. Then explain the "context" to us.

That's all from me. You've allowed a precedent where hate speech can be wrapped up in "context" (especially from a repeat offender) and still pass. That's on your conscience. I'm left with a few red cards and the feeling that I tried to fix this. Everyone carries their own weight.

rapidnomad512, I think I follow your drift... Look, I know people are going to say I’m just talking nonsense, but I genuinely care about fostering actual dialogue on this forum, and I try to do my best to facilitate that (it's the same approach I take with most of my colleagues at work). We’ll agree on things sometimes, and we won't at others; that's just how it goes. Regardless, I’d ask both you and the rest of the community to please utilize the formal appeals process—whether you prefer being direct or if you find it more convenient personally. Over the last month or so, I've been buried under an intense workload and haven't had the bandwidth to deal with much, so I may have reviewed some appeals without giving them the scrutiny they deserved. That said, I’m hopeful that the process will improve moving forward.

Regarding everyone asking about Marasovac... Since I stepped into one of the moderator roles here, there have actually been several initiatives to have him pardoned. However, none of them were successful. I am well aware of the arguments used to justify his status, but that isn't simply how the system operates.
As for his permanent ban, he received it before I ever became involved with the Politics section, so I didn't track the case and honestly have no idea why he was banned in the first place. Consequently, I can't say for certain how the moderators there (or anyone else) would react to a request to revoke the ban. But unless I formally submit such a request, we’ll never truly know.

Since I was under a temporary ban, I didn't have the chance to call out the absolute garbage feasts being served at my expense, but it makes me wonder if the moderators actually intend to tolerate that kind of behavior.

rapidnomad512 said:First of all. 😉
So, I suppose you're the one who went ahead and fixed it.

This is the first lie. I was slapped with a penalty for "aggressive trolling" by Fran Krsta—a measly 100 points docked for 60 days. Then, William Bennett53 stepped in and arbitrarily bumped that up to 200 points for 90 days. It’s almost comical; he didn't even grasp the substance of what I actually wrote. Or perhaps, more likely, that was exactly the point. 🤔

Fair enough. The reality is that three days later, he’s still typing away with the same attitude I had when I told him straight up that his work was absolute garbage.

I would be truly fascinated to hear exactly what kind of disciplinary action you were handed for that stunt.

So, I suppose we’ve reached that point where celebrating the mass execution of people in pits and calling a fellow human being "trash" are viewed as two sides of the same coin. It’s all just one big, indistinguishable offense now, isn't it?

Look, this is exactly why I find you moderators so difficult to deal with. Am I really expected to step in and report this kind of slander myself, or are you actually capable of seeing it for what it is?
What kind of sick, twisted celebration is this—celebrating the act of throwing people into pits?

By the way, you slapped me with a warning for supposedly exposing private information. I actually went back and searched for his specific post where he allegedly did that, and all he wrote was: "There aren't many of them left at the old town site, and most were killed; it's a shame some managed to escape."

Isn't this a bit much for a single sheet of paper? I honestly can't recall ever writing something like this, let alone where or when.
Why isn't there any accountability for these kinds of lies?

I am bringing this matter into the public eye now. To be clear, this isn't about any sort of doxxing or leaking private information; that isn't the issue here at all. Rather, this user initially attempted to resolve the situation through private channels by reaching out to the administration directly. When those private efforts failed to yield a solution, they decided to voice the grievance publicly, hoping that perhaps other members might assist in locating a post that has somehow "mysteriously" vanished.

I know I'm right, even if I can't prove it since I don't have the receipts posted here. It’s just one of those inconvenient truths.

What exactly are you trying to pull here? You’re talking about private messaging when I’m currently under a ban? What kind of game are you playing?

The reality remains: there is someone here who actually had the audacity to write that those people thrown into mass graves lived like animals—and that they deserved to die that way. And yet, despite such a disgusting display of inhumanity, the fact remains that three days later, they’re still here, typing away as if nothing happened.

That isn't a fact; it’s just pure dyslexia.
I cannot be held responsible for your inability to grasp what I have written.

He’s had his permanent ban lifted twice already. Why? Why can some people get away with everything despite their "contributions" to this forum being nothing short of toxic?

I asked nicely, so maybe that was the issue.

What's the secret behind the special treatment this guy gets? He constantly skates right on the edge of hate speech without ever facing real consequences.

Honestly, I’m asking the same thing.

I’m not going to jump to conclusions and claim there's some political favoritism here—someone please tell me if I'm wrong. Because if some far-right trash had written something celebrating those killed by fascists (and in my eyes, they're just as much trash), how many points would they have racked up? Would they be looking at 35, 45, or 70 points and a three-day ban? Would there even be a police report filed against them?

Now, go back to the top of the thread and look at how many warnings you *didn't* get. I highly doubt we're dealing with any kind of political bias here.

Let's just agree that glorifying the mass execution of people in pits is one of the most egregious offenses possible. Let's establish it as a universal standard: such an offense should result in a single, permanent ban from this forum. No matter who says it.

Since when is throwing people into pits something worth "celebrating"? I'm curious—do you need a Christmas tree, some colored eggs, or inverted crosses to properly host such a celebration?
What kind of nonsense is this?

This post alone should have earned at least 500 points for hate speech, if not an immediate ban. I know it, you know it, and everyone reading this knows it. So why didn't that happen? Tell me, what kind of protection is this individual enjoying?

You clearly don't have the slightest clue what constitutes hate speech.
If Fran Krsta and William Bennett53 hadn't jumped down my throat immediately, the worst I could have gotten was a warning for trolling.
But of course, the conservatives are always accusing the two of them of protecting liberals, so I became the perfect target for a liberal type like Pedro.

Just as a test, I can swap out certain names in his sentences and then you all tell me how many points those sentences carry. Why does a sentence mentioning a Jew or a Mexican trigger the heaviest penalties, while one where wounded soldiers and hospital staff are called Americans is treated as a minor infraction?

What are you talking about regarding wounded soldiers and hospital staff? When did I ever write anything about them?

Besides calling for trouble, tagging rapidnomad512 and my name while whining about "injustice" being done to you—
- all while we're being protected by Fran Krsta’s moderation. Then you go and title the thread in the banned corner—"Fran Krsta - come here, baby"—and throw around threats about settling scores on a "higher level"
- once your ban expires. You even threatened rapidnomad512, saying he'd get a strike and should just "go back to some random subreddit to cry because nobody likes him." Such "humility." Pure "grace"—I'm just "so impressed and terrified" by your planned settlement on a
"higher level."
"higher level." ☕

And what exactly are these "disgusting feasts" at your expense, from whom and where? Personally, I haven't commented
on any of your posts so far—because I honestly can't deal with this constant stalling, the wordplay, and the fake shock
over "lies" regarding your "high-intellect" persona and your "highly creative posts." ☕

It's the first lie. I got a strike for "heavy trolling" from Fran Krsta, 100 points for 60 days, but then William Bennett53 changed it to 200 points for 90 days, even though he didn't even understand what was written in the post—or maybe he did?

"Of course" it's a lie—because you're clearly telling "the truth and nothing but the truth." 🤦 And really, nobody understood what was actually
written in the post—except you, the guy who claims "no one on this forum can compete with my intelligence or writing skills"—at least, that's what you write in the banned section. Everyone's just jealous of the "power of your intellectual expression"—"me, first." ☕

Look, that's why you moderators make no sense to me. Am I supposed to report this kind of slander, or are you just going to ignore it?
What kind of freaking CELEBRATION is throwing people into pits?

Slander? No, bless your heart—you were mocking the people killed and thrown into the pit. ☕

Quote:rapidnomad512 said:Look at the post
By the way, you gave me a strike for exposing some private info. I started looking for his post where he did it by using the sentence: "There are few left in Blajburg and many were killed, too bad some escaped."

bluecyclist64 said:Isn't this just for a heavy penalty? When and where did I even write that?
Why aren't you punishing these kinds of lies?

Yeah—for your thick skull. You wrote it, you definitely wrote it—in this exact thread, though when exactly
- I can't give you a date because the post was deleted.
I replied to that post too—which was also wiped—and if I remember right, I mentioned
Ćiro Blažević appearing on the Z1 news program at 8 PM, hosted by Mark .., where Ćiro was absolutely livid
about some professor from the university talking about Bleiburg—similar "wisdom" to your mud-slinging here, but there's a massive difference
in scale—he actually said he "doesn't give a damn about all the victims of Bleiburg." Ćiro Blažević completely lost his cool right then—it was personal because his own father died on the crossroad path at Bleiburg.

So, you're better off just swallowing your pride and being honest—if you're even capable of that—about what you
did, rather than playing dumb, denying it, and still demanding "punishment for lies." ☕

That isn't a fact; it's dyslexia.
It's not my fault you can't grasp what's written right in front of you.

I see—you're throwing out "diagnoses" now—playing pseudo-doctor. And throwing insults based on medical conditions on top of it.
That's actionable. That's practically libel.
Because if you actually knew what dyslexia was, you'd know even Einstein dealt with it—among others. 🥳

I asked nicely, maybe that's why.

Maybe you could direct that "niceness" toward the families of those thrown into pits—from Bleiburg to Jazovik and
every other mass grave, known or unknown—and ask for forgiveness for your public statements. You could start with me and my family, if that makes it easier—since you already call me a "clueless Smurf" and spit your shameless filth all over my posts—so you've basically already "met" me. ☕

I'm really curious, how do people celebrate throwing folks into pits? Do they need a Christmas tree, colored eggs, inverted crosses, or some other prop for such a celebration?
What kind of nonsense is that?

Look—you "celebrated" it with your own words. Whether that's nonsense or not is for everyone to decide
based on their own conscience.

You have no idea what hate speech even is.
If Fran Krsta and William Bennett73 hadn't jumped on my post immediately, I probably would have just gotten a warning for trolling.
But since conservatives are always accusing those two of protecting the leftists, I became perfect fodder for their liberal targets.

I'm not answering that for you, but I will—I know hate speech, and you're not far from it.
They're being easy on you, calling it "crude trolling." They know how you talk. And it's been confirmed twice by permanent...
banned. He begged nicely, got pardoned twice—then went right back to his "classic" ways. Maybe he’ll try a third time. 🐔

What wounded soldiers or hospital staff are you even talking about? When did I ever write about them?

You didn't say it directly, but you definitely implied it. It’s just like what happened during the Vietnam War, where people were dragged out of
hospitals along with the medical staff—tortured, killed in camps, and dumped into mass graves.
Is there really any difference between those atrocities and what we saw during the Gulf War?

Look, like William Bennett53 said, I’m not interested in debating you. This is just my response
to all your lies, your dodging, and your insinuations—so maybe think twice before you post anything else next time.

William Bennett53, I’m reaching out with a request. Could you take a look at what this guy said on the last page of this thread?

In my view, this kind of discourse has no place on this forum.

Penetrator, the forum posts on this page were all submitted within an hour of yours. It’s frankly pointless to file a formal grievance so immediately. In these situations, the protocol is to report the post and wait at least 24 hours; if there hasn't been any movement from the moderators by then, only then can we examine why no action was taken.
