Can someone please walk me through why the mod just nuked my entire account from orbit? I didn't get a single heads-up—no warning, no strike, nothing. Just straight-up vanished. I actually tried being civil about it, too. Sent two polite emails without throwing any tantrums or threats, but I'm just getting ghosted by everyone. The last thing I even posted was over in the thread about movie streaming sites. Right after that, poof, I'm gone.

It’s not like I’m officially moderating this specific thread, but once I caught sight of the headline and the question being asked, I just couldn't help myself. I had to dig a little deeper. From what I can see, xciting hasn't been deleted, isn't banned (they aren't showing up grayed out), and certainly hasn't been pruned—they've still got their two hundred or so posts intact. Looking at the activity logs, they were actually logged in last night, which tells me everything I need to know: they are very much active.

From what I can see, the profile for exciting hasn't been deleted, isn't banned (not grayed out), and isn't pruned (they’ve got maybe two hundred posts or so). It was accessed just last night, so basically, the account is still active and kicking.

Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe I messed up my wording in the first post when I said the profile was gone. Here's the deal: I type in my password and the site opens, but every single thread is locked. Every time I try to post anything, I get hit with this error message.

exciting, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I just entered my password and now the forum won't let me in.
That's why I was confused about why I'm blocked from posting when I never got a single word from a moderator. I ended up making this new profile because of it. I'd really like to figure out why I can't use the exciting account, and if possible, just shut that one down so I don't run into trouble for having two accounts.

You probably couldn't get into that profile because you were in the middle of changing your password or tweaking some other technical setting and didn't quite finish the process. I went ahead and manually fixed everything on my end to get you back up and running, so go ahead and check it out to make sure it's working okay for you now!

Thanks a ton for the help. Everything's working fine now—turns out changing my password threw a wrench in things. Would it be better to just block that profile so I don't accidentally log in? I've got another account anyway, and I don't want to look like I'm running dual profiles.

You can always just decide you're done with it, you know? You have the power to simply stop using the account and quit logging into the forum altogether.
