N/A router problem
Hey everyone. A few years back, I picked up a generic IP camera on eBay. It worked fine through my old router using DynDNS for testing purposes. Now, after a long break, I’m trying to get it running on my new router, but I've hit a wall. It just won't connect.

N/A
Batch No. N/A
N/A
SW Version V1.0.3_US
BOOT Version V1.0.4

I set up port forwarding to the camera's IP address. I think I did this right:

LAN Host IP 192.168.1.6 (camera's IP)
WAN Start Port 1048...
LAN Start Port 1048...
When I entered the settings, I got this error message:

The configuration items of Port Forwarding, UPnP and Port Trigger conflict, but this item has the higher priority and takes effect.

???????

I configured the DynDNS host parameters.

I turned off the firewall and added an inbound rule for port 1048. The port shows as open on http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

I don't understand why the camera isn't showing up via DynDNS.

Everything on the camera settings seems correct. My only concern is that I can't change the primary DNS Server 1; it won't let me move away from the default 8.8.8.8, though the secondary DNS is fine. Could that be the issue?

Just wanted to say I solved the problem. It turns out I hadn't set a static IP address (LAN). That was my mistake. I can now see the camera via DynDNS. I also fixed the Gmail notification issue by lowering the security settings on my Gmail account. Thanks, everyone.
