And honestly, I can't stand seeing those official system messages from the site in English, even though my English is perfectly fine. I’m just not going to take any requests to switch the forum over to American seriously until they actually bother to translate all those other automated posts too.

Look, we don't really get a say in which language is used; it's just hardcoded into the system and shows up automatically. Just because you aren't taking those messages seriously doesn't mean they aren't legitimate.
