I guess Sebastian Vettel seemed to have a bit more pace than the Mercedes-Benz throughout the race... whereas on the other hand, Kimi was just having a nightmare 🤦

Kimi was effectively neutralized out there—it's frankly embarrassing how much pressure Red Bull Racing put on him toward the end of the race. 👎

As for Vettel, he remains a true master; his driving was nothing short of sublime, aided by a flawless strategic execution from the Ferrari pit wall. 🙏

Back in 2007... Ferrari had been stuck in a massive drought without a win at the US Grand Prix for a decade. That was the year Kimi finally stepped up and dominated his way to the championship title. It ended up being the last big trophy for the guys over at Maranello.
Signs of things to come... 🤷

I don't think there's much point in overhyping this.
The USA race didn't really show what's actually going on, and honestly, I'm kind of questioning if Seb could even put a dent in Lewis's lead if he hadn't gotten stuck behind Max.
Mercedes is just too dominant for them not to learn something from this.

Still, seeing them looking a bit more vulnerable is pretty nice, I guess.

Indeed, Kimi looked completely lost from the moment the lights went out. I can't quite put my finger on what went wrong, though he's always been notoriously sensitive to any bit of oversteer... 🤷
